Hi, I'm new here. I usually produce hip-hop and I've been looking to try something new, thing is, I don't know what the genre of the music I'm trying to make is called. For reference you can listen to any songs from Gordo's new album Diamante. Apple music categorizes it as Dance but when I look up Dance songs or Dance production tutorials it doesn't sound anything alike. Then I looked into House and all its sub genres and still didn't find anything similar, only vaguely on YouTube. Any help to steer me in the right direction with precisely identifying the genre wold be appreciated. Thanks

 

yeah i got you, its amapiano - its like african deep house, usually slower than regular house music, so youre not off. its just a very specific subgenre of house
