    is this possible?:
i have a bunch of songs in FL studio and i want to rewire these into Reaper so that when i playback it records the FL input as MIDI. ( I can play instruments back but i only want Reaper to record the midi parts i have edited in FL)
i cannot work out if it's possible. Otherwise i have to export the midi from FL and then import. it's a bit of a hassle that way..
    thx for any help.

Open Reaper full install and not portable install (no rewire with portable install).
Right click on TCP insert vsti instrument and choose fl studio 32, click yes in building confirmation and click on the umbrella icon to open FL studio. Now when you create a track in FL studio you have to route it in Reaper. Click on the first channel for example and in the Down side insert zone of FL you'll find Fl1 and Fl2, etc. Then choose the ouput for Reaper.
Or in Reaper choose Rewire Fl studio and create your own routing with midi, audio, etc.

I don't know what you mean by umbrella icon... i don't seem to have any such thing. i can get audio output ok, it's that i cannot get the midi to record and i have tried every way i can think of to do it...
maybe there is no way to do this.
which is a pain, means i might have to migrate to another daw....

    Install loopMIDI http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html

After install create as many midi ports as you want or need, Enable the new loopMDI ports in reaper "midi in" options and set the loopMIDI "midi out" port channels in FL studio.
then choose the "midi in" ports for each instruments in reaper. Hopefully picture helps with setup.

Replace instruments with Midi Out or create a Midi Out below each instruments and paste midi.

Probably any virtual midi cable utility will do the job.

ok, i tried installing your app and now i can no longer see all my rewire devices in reaper.
i just see reason and nothing else. no fl etc.
i guess i have no clue what i am doing.
i thought there would be a clear and straightforward to do this, but not so.
i will have to go into all the fl projects and export the midi from there first...
    which will take ages.. nvm

Rewire devices disappeared for me too. In the effect/instument browser
go to options and enable option to show rewire devices in the
"Show in left pane list" drop down menu
