Is it possible to pitch shift in reaper without timestreching the wave? Does anyone know how to do this?

Computer's fried, but from memory, there's an option to "keep timing during pitch change" to paraphrase. I think you see it if you right click on the transport speed slider.

I think your answer is here.
Select the media item, hit F2, there you can adjust pitch. There are also some keyboard shortcuts, just search the Action dialog for "pitch".

@vson there are also a bunch of actions! Just type PITCH in action list search bar.

S4 & S5 it seems does varispeed stretch.

A finer way to do it would be to press F2 , uncheck preserve pitch when changing rate, and then alt-dragging the edges of the clip.

Both options are good i tend to use both of them for different reasons. The s4 s5 has more of a mpc like pitch shift good for drums. The timestretch option is more for syncing samples and tuning notes. That is what I use them for. Thanks for the tips everyone!
