Hi guys, I was wondering if you could tell me what piano was used in this album 'Joe Hisaishi Piano stories 1'
I'm thinking it might be a Yamaha C7 Grand, but I'm not sure. Here's a link to the album online:

I recommend listening to 'the wind forest', 'innocent' and 'fantasia (for nausicaa)' so you can get a feel for the timbre of the piano.

Impossible to know without asking the artist or engineer... sounds to me like it could be a Bluthner from my tiny iPhone speaker lol. Unfortunatly there are so many factors intertwined and at work which give a piano its voice a child's guess is just as good as a veteran pianist...

Try looking him up on Facebook. The only video I could find of him shows him players by a Steinway D

 

At 00:46 you can see that he is using a Steinway.
