PA1 is an Audio Unit plug-in that uses a physical model of a plate reverb based on advanced Modal synthesis. The dynamic control of physical parameters gives unique and creative reverberation.


How it works :

We start from a mathematical description of the plate in terms of its size, thickness, and tension, as well as the properties of the chosen material (Young's modulus, density, and Poisson's ratio). Using this description, we calculate the modes of vibration for the system. From this setup, we perform a real-time integration to calculate the displacement of the plate being forced by the input audio at a given point, and with the variable decay times across the 8 octave bands of the modes. Finally, the output is taken from the two pickup positions for left and right stereo channels.

PA2 Little Ringer



PA2 is a minimal ring modulator effect, based on Julian Parker's diode model and anti-aliasing5.
The carrier is a sine wave, with an additional LFO to modulate its frequency. The smoothness parameter allows a range of sounds, from hard-edged to clean inharmonicity.


Both 'AU Plugins' require MAC OS X 10.7 or higher...
