I transferred a bunch of 4-track reel to reel tapes to digital. All four tracks were recorded simultaneuosly to my DAW. Some of the songs have three tracks bounced to the fourth and the original tracks were recorded over. However, not all of the original tracks were recorded over. They are still there. They are higher quality than the bounced version - but they are not in sync with the bounced mix. Once in the digital format, I thought I could drag an original track to line up with the bounced mix, to get a bigger, wider sound. But what I got was some horrible phasing. I tried zooming in all the way to line up the tracks but the phasing is still there. Is there any software that will remove phasing in a multi-track environment? Hope this makes sense.
