Hi! Today i got my new cpu (i7-4790k) and a new mobo (GA-H81M-HD3). I took down the old parts and putted the new one. I started the pc and load the default Bios settings but i faced 2 problems:

    1) Blue screen appear while trying to load Windows, the logo show up, the blue screen error and then the PC reboot itself.

    here is the error
    STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFFFFF880009A97EB, 0xFFFFFFC0000034, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

So i tried to load the OSX Yosemite's partition and it actually booted, but then when trying to work with Logic all the system hangs and freeze (other than that the system seems working).

Tried to fix the error with Win7 DVD and surprise the HDD doesn't appear at all at the installation menu. So i opened the Bios and checked, but the HDD is listed. Tried to change from AHCI to IDE but it doesn't help.

Tried to load the default settings from Bios, not worked. Tried to update the Bios but not worked either

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    FIXED
    2) CPU temperature are insanely high 90° at idle in the BIOS. I'm using the stock cooler boxed the the cpu wich should do the job. In my case something go wrong.
EDIT: Loading on Yosemite the CPU and fan seems ok even if i can't actually check the temperature.

Not really sure how to fix Both problems, Could someone help me please????

When I flashed my BIOS I had some crazy OC-ing going on by default (like 4,4ghz), so check that, know I would now. :like:

    did you update the bios?
Theres 2 kinds of chipset for sata, both have problems?
Did you cleaned the ram with rubber?
    Are you using onboard video?

Yes i'm using Sata2, tried other slot but didn't help, it's strange since OSX load fine (but Logic don't work)
Ram is new, 1x8 gb. I'll try to use my old one anyway
no, i'm using ATI HD Radeon 5450

Wait, you are trying to load old systems from HD with new components? (so new mobo, CPU and RAM, well, safe to say you should do fresh instal at this point, know I would definitely in your shoes)

yes, i tried to load old system with new components. I can't delete and do a fresh install even if i want it since when trying to install Windows from DVD the HDD isn't showing up.

Well, if you are doing hackintosh, you should instal OS X first anyways  but than gain, it should show up anyways :dunno:

Don't bother with it, unless you have something to save from it, if you do, Linux is your friend (you can do it from OS X too, I forgot), get another drive and take whatever you need, than wipe whole thing out, check for errors and do whole hackintosh thing again, maybe that's not good advice, but that's what I would do at this point, but I'm known for wiping drives on monthly basis, so yeah :dunno:

On another mobo, this time you got something that actually works OTB for hackintosh I suppose, dunno, maybe there's some new things for Yosemite, but I had zero issues triple booting Mavericks, Snow Leopard and Windows on same drive with chameleon/chimera, never tried to save anything tho, always fresh instals and wiping out, doing everything from scratch :dunno:

Just found a new iso that actually see my HDD. So my question to you: It's possible to re-install Windows on the same partition without messing up with OSX (same HDD different partitions)

It's not uncommon for brand new motherboards to be faulty. However, your CPU temperature is really high (and a i7 CPU can go that high without the cooler): are you sure all your cooler's hooks are attached properly on the motherboard? Try to remove it, see how the thermal paste is crushed - this may give you a hint if you mounted it correctly (or not) in the first place - then reattach the aluminium cooler. Your CPU should sit idle at 50-60 degrees.

Also, if possible on your MB settings, try to underclock your cpu to 2-3 Ghz, see if you can install windows that way, just for testing purposes.

Well, you will need to reinstall bootloader again after Windows installation, prepare that right away on flash drive

Ok i'll try to load and unload the stock cooler again. It's really strange since in OSX temperature and fans seem ok. In Bios cpu start from 57° to 90° in something like 20-30 seconds while doing nothing.

For the hackintosh part you may need to patch your DSDT again because of the new CPU.
