    TH-U ROCKGUY PACK
The RockGuy is the most complete and realistic software emulation of two legendary guitar processors: the Rockman Sustainor* and its Chorus/Delay unit. They delivered the distinctive guitar tones of many 80s and 90s bands, like Def Leppard, Boston and Kiss as well as artists like Joe Satriani.
EXPAND TH-U WITH NEW MODELS AND PRESETS
The pack includes the following models:
    the RockGuy Sustain preamp unit
    the RockGuy Chorus/Delay unit
7 pedal and rack effects (see the full list below)
26 patches recreating the guitar tone of the most iconic artists using this processor.
    STANDALONE AND EXPANSION PACK
TH-U RockGuy is both a TH-U expansion pack and a Standalone plugin, meaning that it can expand the model list of an existing TH-U installation, or it can also be purchased as self-contained pack which includes all the TH-U editing features, including the Rig Player, the Amp Tweaks, the Tuner and the Looper, with no need to have a pre-existing TH-U license.

Never could stand the Rockman distortion sound. One of many things wrong with the 80's.
To me, it sounded like an angry hive of bees in a Coke can. Just a matter of taste I guess.
I knew a lot of guys that were into it.....just not my thing. The Chorus/Delay was ok for me
    tho.

I got this cheap as a teenager. I thought it sucked and sold it a week later. So this is "sought-after" now? :) Don't tell me they are gonna emulate the DOD Grunge FX69 pedal next.

I had borrowed it from a friend for a few weeks. But I had an older one, the Zoom 2020. Incredibly bad.

the demo video reminds me of my MP1 Classic sound because he is using the same guitar as mine (LP Custom) and it sounds exactly like the MP1. I never know about this thing, looks interesting.

lol, never had a 505 but I used to own a 707 II back in 2002-2003 before selling it for a Japan Made GFX8 a year later.

What makes this interesting is the old high budget studios that has all sorts of gear laying around for inspiration. It may, or may not be highly used until that one time it is golden. The musicians, producers, and the audio engineer find a new use case trick to keep in pocket for future endeavors. I hope all the gear is eventually modeled, especially as compute power allows the devs to model to get closer accuracy. I do love when they add a fold out panel with extra controls as well that make the gear more powerful.

Guitarist of Boston, Tom Scholz, created the Rockman. Amplitube 5 has had a Rockman in it's arsenal for over a year. Unless you are looking for the Boston, or Def Leppard sound, it is mostly useless for anything else. One must also think about what wasn't available in those days. The Rockman stood out at that time. Comparing it to today's technology is not really fair. Eventide does a better job in getting the sound of that era.

It's more than a feeling of how much I dislike the Rockman. It is physical.

What I have left of anything DOD are some rack modules. I haven't seen them in years as they are in storage. I ridded myself of the pedals I had decades ago when a decent offer was made.

You mean ordinarily you don't physically feel things?

You see now what I did there? This should tie it all together, though ordinarily, yes, feelings are manifest in the body. I'm using poetic license to express...my feeling about the Rockman preamp unit..

Oh, dear lord! I think my GF (she used to play bass in a local band) still has hers in the basement in a box somewhere. I think it wins for the shittiest pedal I've heard.
Maybe that will be a new trend, since there's a lot of lo-fi kids out there. :D Brainworx bx_Z505

Look, I've never owned a 505, but have owned the 509 modulator — people talk a lot of shit about the Zoom stuff, the 50X stuff particularly, I won't disagree that the interface and the majority of the presets sucked arse — but for the price they punched way above their weight. At the time nothing else offered series or parallel modulation like the 509 did, at least no-where in the same price league. Would it compare to two separate pedals in series or parallel? No, fuck you, compare apples to apples.
Not saying there should be a 50X emulation, but for the time and price, they rocked harder than people are willing to give them credit for.
    E.g.

Don't get me started on DOD pedals — I think the grunge pedal is messy and awesome, unless you're using it to try and cop the "grunge" sound.
