he i was recently overclocking my amd 3800x
I installed the latest beta bios of my asus strixx b550 f gaming
I have my ratio at 43.50 4350mhz and the voltage at v1.2500 idle 28 degrees and under full load around 60 degrees and a cinebench 23 score of 13500 multithread
well mn problem is when I look at my voltages via hwinfo or hwmonitor it says max vcore v1.100 while my vcore in the bios is manual set @1.2500
is this a bug of the bios or what could it be i have te latest bios update (beta) which give me better thermals
and i dont use ryzen master
just manual overclocking in the bios

I would trust your BIOS more, however don't worry about the voltage being 1.250V, it is quite normal since you're running at 4.350GHz.

I find it most interesting how single core performance of the processors only got about 10% better in the last 3 years. Oh well, now it is all about the number of cores and many DAWs support more cores rather decently. Every additional core can come in handy these days.

 

What case and cooling are you using, I have slightly under volted my 3700x to get better thermals.

 

mine is 3600x guys, joining the fun soon now still at logistic hub awaiting delivery.. just chime in taking some note here because its my very first non apu chip and never do oc before #hehe

my stock voltages were around 1.4 and higher and temps idle around 45 - 50 on load around 80 which I found a bit on the high side so I started to play with the settings first I turned off the pbo and all the auto boost settings then i set a static cpu multiplier and lower the voltages after that i was still not satisfied i installed the latest beta version of my bios and after playing with the settings de temps were 10 degree cooler idle and around 60 on load my ram was stock undervolted @ v1.2 so i set it on v1.35 with xmp profile or d.o.c.p profile with asus mainboards default was 2133mhz so i set it on 3600mhz and the f.c.l.k at 1800

 

best thing to do with thease processors andthis is copmeing from someone whos now owns a 5900x 12 CORE and a 5950x 16 CORE is to use the boost overideinstead of manual overcl;ock as youll get better results both now run at 5ghz all cores where i was only managing 4.83 on the 5960x and around 4.75 on the 5900x
