I wonder if you could help me out.
I'm running Kontakt 5.5.409. When I try to load the recent release of Sonokinetic Ostinato Strgs, I get the "to old Kontakt version" thing. The manual and the tuts online specifically state that it's made to be run on 5.1 versions, plus the other sonokinetic libs run just fine...anyone having this problem?

If say the website states it should run on 5.1 then NKI etc should load in 5.1 & above. Unless the library say been updated with new NKI.
The most likely possibility is that someone has batch resaved the library patches with a higher revision of Kontakt.
Example it may run on 5.1 etc but if i batch re-save with say 5.6.5 it will ONLY run on 5.6.5 in the future.
If that's the case and say the uploader has etc then am afraid you are totally out of luck and you will only be able to run it with the revision & above that the person re-saved with.
Don't know why people do it as it causes these very problems

 

I just went to the release site AND found out that it states that it is for Kontakt 5.6.0 and up...maybe that's what the releaser did... mea culpa...thanks for the answer brother, all the best...

 

Yeah just had a quick look myself & your right it does say 5.1 & above so in theory it should run 5.5 etc no problems.
Can only imagine your right and that's what the releaser did all though I'm not sure why they have done it unless there a specific reason.
Only way around it am afraid for that specific release of that's what they have done would be to use 5.6 & above if that's the case
