Hi,
I am thinking about to buy a legal copy of Cubase 8 and aks myself if there would be problems using it with illegal downloaded stuff. To be more precise: what software or kind of software won't work with a legal copy of cubase? I have some legit ilok plug-ins like synthogy ivory and many downloaded ones (not ilok). Most of the time I use Kontakt (r2r) and Omnisphere2. So if they will work with a bought version of cubase then it would be great. But what vsts can cause problems?

Been using the latest bought version of Cubase 7, 7.5, and now 8 for years and all R2R plugs work fine with Cubase Pro

Cubase Pro 8 and a variety of plugins downlaoded here, all working fine! Obviously just don't try to use Steinberg cracked plugins as Cubase Pro 8 required the USB eLicenser to be plugged in, so not worth risking also trying to have the eLicenser emulator thing on your machine as well.

 

I think it must be working. You can download Elements 8 and test on that.

 

cubase scans for licenses yes but its the plugin that says if its licensed not steinberg so the cracked ones will work as normal. you may or may not run into trouble with some elicensed cracked software though. I know the older rob papen worked fine.

Its always good practise to disconnect from the net if your using that type of software anyway

Nexus works fine for me.

 

Yes all plugs will work ! However Cubase will not if you buy it

 

well someone voted my comment as dumb above but I remember there were workarounds for the last version of AiR to work with cubase a f few years ago. The amount of retarded people on this planet is way too high.
