Organic Instruments have released a new virtual instrument called Melbourne, saying:

Melbourne contains doctored downtown samples, derived from a celebrated Australian city. Every note reveals pure acoustic recordings, individually re-tuned to the frequency of each key. Discover the sonic canvas of the world's largest tram network, and the calls of earth's smallest penguin species.

    Features:

    • Tuned City Soundscapes: The frequency of each note has been accentuated in each audio sample, creating a tuned bed of sonic material.
    • Versatile Timbres: Discover subtle nods to Melbourne's rich culture within this assemblage of city murmurings.
    • An Urban Metropolis: Industrial timbres are softened by allusions to local wildlife and fauna.
    • 7 Suggestive Spaces: Composed across a septet of locations; the City CBD, Trams, City Streets, Coaches, Ferries, Waterfalls & Little Penguins are all featured as individual sound sets within this curation.
    • Designed for Elemental Player: Includes built-in controls for reverb, dynamic, and ADSR envelope effects as an instrument built for the free Elemental Player.
Intro Price: $49 through April 24th, 2024 (Reg. $85). Students & educators can save an additional 40%, and a 7-day free trial is also available.

Elemental Studio Update: Alongside the new instrument launch, Organic Instruments have announced an update to Elemental Studio, a software application that allows users to create their own Elemental Player instruments. With the release of its latest version, the application can directly export virtual instruments as independent VST3, AU and AAX plug-ins. The export will remove all Organic Instruments branding and requires no coding, offering users an easy way to make their own plug-ins to share and sell under their own brand.
