Option Drag to duplicate item

    Hello, is there a way for me to configure duplication of an item by using Option+drag rather than CMD+drag? I want the duplicate dragging function to be the same as other DAWs like Ableton or Logic, but in Reaper the option+drag changes the velocity. Thanks.

    you can probably customize it for the action you want... dig into the actions menu...
    or check on the Reaper forum for the best methods

    As far as I know you can change every shortcut in the Preferences -> Keyboard and there is an entry on the right side with which you can access the shortcuts.

    - In Reaper , open Preferences window.
    In Preferences window, on the left, navigate to "Mouse Modifiers"
    In Mouse Modifiers Window, choose for Context: media item - left drag
    Where you see "Opt" in the Modifier colum, you have an action to the right of that (in colum behavior)
    DOUBLE CLICK that action
    It will show you a dropdown menu, where you can choose "Copy Item"
    Then hit the apply button, on the bottom right.

    Done !
