Everything for free - without advertising - you can also switch off your television and radio and live without advertising. Then you use ad blockers on the Internet! Listen to alternative private radio stations. Check out bitchute videos. In short, the Internet means more freedom. So we say goodbye to the "old world" and use the internet and above all we use our head. Only intelligence and humanity will save us. Swap your projects on the internet and stop wanting to get into the charts and get rich and famous.

There are still alternatives to commerce:

    Street Art https://www.isupportstreetart.com

    BitChute https://www.bitchute.com
BitChute aims to put creators first and provide them with a service that they can use to flourish and express their ideas freely.

Sorry that I post my private projects, but they are really free and without advertising.

*edit:* As long as "true art" lives only in your head this is pointless.

To use a really old net expression: *plonk*

I'm going to put up a match.

I'll give one million dollars to anyone who can make a 90-minute work and I like it.

I want everyone to take part in this competition and try. I want you to use everything you've learned from music in making this work. A single work with all the artistic details at its high level.

There are different forms to create the structure of a track. I mean A A A A, AA B A and so on.

You can't create a ton of variety of "A" section to produce an one hour track. Spicing each "A" form won't get you to the result.

Sooner or later it will make you get boring.

Is everyone for sale? 90% of those asked say yes and 10% say no!

What do you want to use that for then? If you make a film for 200 million production costs,
but it has to bring in at least 200 million, everything else would be a loss!

    Money is the new religion.

Saving the art and eliminating weak and inefficient artistic structures is the goal of this competition.

Music art has a very big enemy which is more powerful than all other enemies and that is to simplify art with non-art purposes. Modern art is so simplified that it is no longer possible to name it art. If we fight simplification and defeat it, art and artist will find their true places again.

I really feel deeply sorry that people who have no obligation to art are deciding for art. Unfortunately, this act is not in the dignity of an artist at all. What really added something valuable to this section? Can art be promoted by doing so?

I didn't report you to let people know what is happening behind the scene of a non-obligated personality.

There is art and there is craft, the one needs the other and it's the craft part that monetises the art. The people who really know their craft will make a living, whether through their own productions or teaching or some other connected way. The cream usually rises to the top. Too many artists and musicians just aren't at a high enough level yet they believe they are. If they were they would be in demand.

Excellent musicians are needed in all kinds of places - how about the gaming industry that's actually bigger than the music industry?

Gigging is still a good place to make money if you're good enough.

Part of the problem is high expectations, many want to be stars, rich and famous, instead of trying to get into the industry just to work in it.

The only way this snobbish and elitist thinking can thrive is by being accommodated in a kind of postmodern Avant-Gardism that is intended to remake avant-garde music into a more accessible and profitable enterprise. Otherwise, forget it!

Thank you mate, I'm a fan of this guy... Since the eighties.... Gosh I'm oooold...

@Olymoon is right, I think that systematizations and over-simplifications are not good for creativity and Art in general, IMAHO even an old Granpa like me must keep his mind open to everything, starting with life itself.

I think Art can also explode in extreme situations: for example, in countries where there is oppressive authorities, or during (or after) particularly difficult periods of one's life, or, like for the remarkable (and speaking by itself) @BEAT16 piece (apocalyptic!), after a traumatic event.

Art is not supposed to be comfortable, it is sometimes (often?) a violent shake and twist of our certainties, our prejudices / preconceptions...

Art can be politic, but not in the generally accepted sense of the word: Art is here to say: there is thousands of ways to look at the same subject, to regard a landscape, to develop an idea, why not look at this point of view, without any preconception, and tell me what do you think / feel?

Art is a way to observe a situation from a radically different angle, and tell a different story. Sometimes, a piece can be a revolution by itself!

    - - -

Speaking of looong piiiiieces, I also love unconditionnally:

    - Vangelis
    - Pink Floyd ("Meddle"!!!)
    - Genesis
    - Yes
    - Mike Oldfield
    - Dead can Dance

And now for the shorter pieces, but if you actually listen their albums there do is also loooong pieces :

    - Motorhead
    - Metallica
    - Black Sabbath
    - Led Zeppelin
    - Iron Maiden
    - Siouxsie and the Banshees (the first album)

And just because I absolutely love these Artists forever:
    - Joy Division
    - Killing Joke
    - Clan of Xymox (Belgian cold wave, impressive)
    - Cocteau Twins
    - Aerosmith (their old albums, "Rocks" and "Draw the Line"!!!)
    - ......
