Is there a specific order in which to install the endless list of updates?

On the sister site there seems to be loads of different updates for Omnisphere 2 and some names hint at what they are like Patch Library and Software updates but then there are others simply named as Omnisphere 2.1.0 d, Omnisphere 2.2.0 g and Omnisphere Soundsource Library Update 2.6.0 c and so on.

I am guessing that it would matter what order these are installed so is there a list or guide anywhere or can someone give me some pointers please?

 

You just need the latest updates. If you have a previous install, the order is irrelevant. If this is a fresh install you need to follow the instructions I wrote in the Omnisphere release.

From that release all you need is the Key Generator. Find the very latest updates and you are good to go. Just make sure that you find the 32bit Omnisphere and delete it. If you keep it you are going to have some problems.

I didn't install the 32 bit, only the 64 bit, but to be safe I have just checked my Program File (x64) folder and there is no Omnisphere .dll in there but it is in my Program Files (x64) folder so that's cool. As I use Cubase 5 as my main sequencer (sadly only 32 bit) I am going to J Bride Omnisphere but I also use Studio One 4 for some things like time stretching audio and as that's 64 bit I have just checked and Omnisphere loads and works perfectly in that so apart from doing the updates you list above I am good to go.

I've been able to find the Patch Library Update 2.6.1c on the sister site but I can't seem to find Soundsources Update 2.6.1c and Software Update 2.6.2c on there. Google shows them on a lot of dodgy looking sites I've never heard of so are they on the sister site but I am maybe not using the right search terms?

One question, for the Updaye 2.6.2.c it says WIN (needs to be authorized)
Is this the one I need, I have the R2R one ?

Its the "needs to be authorized" that is throwing me!

 

make sure it does not throw you ut of the window. Omnisphere always has to be authorized. Nothing new about it. I wrote that on the release in order to circumvent certain r2r request.

 

to be sure, do we need to install all the update one after one or we can install the last one update ?

Could you please mention what is the sister website? i was on V2 Mac and i updated to 2.6.2c and i keep getting error about smoke.db library when i start logic pro. I installed the patch library and sound sources V 2.6.0c and used an old keygen. I managed to authorize but it keeps crashing whenever i go through the patches! Any recommendations?
