Hi guys,
I have tens of (not rendered/freezed) Studio One projects with at least one instance of Omnisphere VSTi (Win7/64).
If I install Omnisphere 2 will each and every S1 project (upon loading) report Omnisphere(1) missing or it will load Omnisphere2 and corresponding preset authomaticaly?

 

It should open the patches just fine. It's completely backward compatible.

Did you test it personally?
I can't take risks with the current projects and before installing O2 I would appreciate if someone with Studio One tries it and let us know here.

 

I guess the actul DAW is irrelevant to the question, but I have opened old projects in Cubase and Live and all patches created in v1 were opened just fine. they are the same patches after all.

I have another question. Drag'n'drop from SO3 file browser to O2 doesn't work only for me? Every time gettin' message: "The file is not wav or Aiff, skipping it". In ableton and cubase 8 everything works fine.

 

Hum... you have solved (partially) the issue: due to Studio One 3 (because it works on Live and Cubase). The good test is from Studio One 2 (are they the same issues or not?). And remember: SO3 is a young DAW, with some issues (surely will be fixed by PreSonus, regardling users feedbacks).
