Hey guys, I know you guys have seen this question a million times over but I went thru all the threads and none of the solutions seemed to work for me ( deleting the z map index, re installing, re downloading all 8 disks, installed on hard drive, installed on external HD, refreshing all 3 browsers, aka ive tried everything)


I keep getting the infamous "error loading soundsource".

Now im beginning to believe my DL may be corrupt and doesnt contain the entire core library and .db files.

is there anyway someone with a working copy can confrim how many GB each disk is supposed to be?


when I mount them this is what the drive says

Disk 1 = 7.15gb
Disk 2 = 7.02gb
Disk 3 = 7.31gb
Disk 4 = 7.07gb
Disk 4 = 6.93gb
Disk 5 =6.43gb
Disk 6 = 7.15gb
Disk 7 = 6.91gb

can anyone confirm if this correct or is my DL corrupt

 

Asuming you talk about omnisphere2? Your on another forum asking the same thing so i just say that you should make sure you have disc one from R2R.. as far as i remember..

UPDATE: i got it to work, apparently I had all the files but I was mounting them wrong, no where in the NFO or instructions does it tell you to double click the each iso AND mount each THEN install, thanks for the help guys

 

So I have been trying to get this work since a long time, reinstalled too many times.
I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit), Cubase LE 8 Elements AI
Everything goes smooth, including the installation and crack. Software opens, patches load. it shows preview and complete on the top left corner when you click on the patch.All though some patches shows incorrect or corrupt file.
However there is no sound. not sure what's happening. Any help please?

Do you have this only with Omnisphere?

When you press a key is the audio signal getting into Omnisphere? Does it show something on its meters?

Are the software, patches and the soundsources up too date?

If I am right these are the latest updates:

Omnisphere Software: 2.3.2h
Omnisphere Soundsource: 2.0.1c
Omnisphere Patches: 2.3.0c

 

How do you actually update the soundsources and patches?

 

Sorry for my late reply! You can update it by just installing the new versions or updates through the installer. Like on the same way on how you install Omnisphere in the first place, but then now with the newest updates.

 

No worries. I've got the software to update to the latest but still having trouble with invalid sound sources or no sound. They correspond with the issue of it not updating the patches and sound sources? I had it working one time before for a while and stopped working or maybe it didn't install corrrectly.

 

Mostly these kind of issues starts to occur when it's not fully or correctly installed. I'm not really sure how many discs there are, but you need to install all of them. I think it's 6. And make sure that everything is up too date, including software, patches and soundsources. If you don't see any meters that are moving in Omnisphere it's very likely it's not installed correctly. Maybe try reinstalling. Or maybe there is something wrong with your STEAM folder. How big is your STEAM folder actually? Only Omnisphere is around 50GB. Also check the output assignments in Omnisphere by going to the Multi Page and then to the Mixer Tab. Check if it's all set to output A.

 

I'm thinking it's the installation since it prompts me that the update was installed incorrectly and it doesn't create a steam folder within my files, so in theory I'll have to manually create one, which isn't ideal but it'll eventually accept it. Of course it still doesn't exactly work as to why I'm having this issue. Odd thing is that I had installed this before and it worked... So I'm thinking it's because of that issue even though I'm certain I'm installing the way it should be. No luck however...

Edit: My folder is actually 59.45GB. I got everything to work but debating if I should attempt to update. Thanks!

So Omnisphere itself works in like hearing sounds?

I always say update whenever you can when updates are available. Altough, in some cases you don't really want to update. There could be so many different reasons for it. I think your case could be one of it. I mean if Omnisphere is finally working right now and because of all the issues in the past, then maybe don't update it and let it for what it is.

You also could try to back-up your STEAM folder and put it to a second hard drive or something. So when you try to install the updates and it fails again you always could switch back to it.

From my experience if you update the STEAM folder while Omnisphere is working, then you don't have to do that authorization process again. That process was kinda terrible for me, haha. It took me like 20 minutes, because my daw was crashing every time. But yeah it was what it was and worth the time.

But updating Omnisphere was really easy and fast for me. Just make sure that you update it to the right place. It should be to where your STEAM folder is.

I got My omnisphere to work finally but then I read that I needed to update. once i ran the update it asking me for the authorization code again. now it doesn't work. Do I need to uninstall and start over?

Not at all. After an update, you will have to re-record your version. Use the lasted keygen.
