Just when I got Arturia Spark EDM to show up in C5 after updating and scanning for plugins, another issue crop up, all my Spectrasonics vsts not are showing up...Grrrrrrrrrrr...

Funny thing is that they used to there and have always been there till now. So I updated the plugins again and made sure the path are set(did this numerous times) but they are still not showing up in the vst instruments tab despite me re-scanning the folder over and over again.

The dlls are in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins directory

Why is it not showing up this time around? Weird?!!!

Anyone know how to resolve this ..?

    I know your problem *yes*
Your DAW is too modern for such PlugIns :wow:
Use Cubase SX 3 or just switch straight to Atari
Sorry, what do you expect from such old DAW???
And probably your OS are Windows XP?
    Oh man….

I use Cubase 5 and it works very well, better than most DAWs do today. When I had Spectrasonics stuff installed it was showing up perfectly but I haven't tried the new update so I can't speak for that. I also wasn't using Arturia Spark.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins directory???
    This is the right destination?
I'm on Mac, so my Windows knowledge are poor but I was thinking Win64 have something like C:\Program Files (x64) destination?

Yeah there is something like that on Windows systems. I usually just put my stuff in C:Program Files/VSTplugins though. If you're on x64 then you should scan that folder.

By the way, I sow your previously article about Arturia Spark and Cubase 5.
You wrote that you have Ableton Live 9, so why you confuse your mind with the shitty Cubase?
Throw the buggy Steinberg shit and focus full at Ableton Live, I have too Ableton Live and I'm really satisfied with that.
Cubase are an sickness, it's looks for sure good and may have a lot nice features but this is just too much buggy shit and nothing else…
Don't destroy your nerves and mind with this piece of bullshit!

There were no dll files there..I tried to jbridge the Spectrasonics folder containing all the 32bit dlls from Program Files(x86) to C:Program Files/VSTplugins so they would create those 64bit dlls there....to no avail...

btw all the spectrasonics vsts are working perfectly fine in Ableton Live 9

Cubase was the very first DAW I picked up...I've been using it for years now and I'm very comfortable with it. I'm just starting to learn about the ins and outs of Ableton Live 9 mainly becoz of it's Live performance features and also because according to many it works very well with EDM production.

I wouldn't want to let go of Cubase at all..as I still love to sequence with it.

Cubase is so much better than Ableton it's not even funny especially if you buy 7.5.

Look at your vst plugin paths first to see if your dll files are in the path
