How to move some Omnisphere instruments to a different hard drive? (solved)

    Hi everyone,

    I'm using Omnisphere from spectrasonics and I want to use it in live situation with Ableton. I wanted to know if there is a way to get some instrument on SSD ?

    My installation of Omnipshere is on a HDD and the STEAM folder too. I did'nt have enough space to put all the STEAM folder on my SSD, but I want only 4 or 5 instruments on SSD to be shure there is no problem for the access.

    There is a way to get some instruments on another drive of where is the STEAM folder ?

    Of course there is one that will work. Symbolic links. Grab the instruments that you need, move them to a new folder inside the SSD. Create a separate link for each instrument. The link source is the new location for each instrument on the SSD and you will drop each respective link in the STEAM folder, inside the subfolder where the instruments you moved to the SSD used to be located at. That will solve your problem.
