Just manually copy the STEAM Files .. I had the same problem when i used a Mac, they wrote in the readme.txt not to do it manually .. but it was the only solution for me that worked ..

    Eaaase your self child,
    all things are fine.
I just switched my self as well was kind of freaked out but The above poster is correct for mac we just manually drag the entire steam folder to where we would like it. After that when you start omni for first time it will prompt you to direct it to the folder.

If you have trouble with the permissions download BATchmod i think its called?
and reset the premission to allow Read write for all.
    Enjoy

Okay but people talk about opening each iso and then drag them all into one STEAM folder. Without replacing any files? Is this how I should do it?

Do I only need to drag one Steam folder from one of the iso files or open every ISO and drag every steam folder into one?

hold option down when you drag the files over and that will give you the option to "merge" the files so nothing will be replaced and only the new ones will be copied

Should NOT need a SSD to run omnisphere.
I have it running of a regular USB 3.0 1TB Hard drive and its just as fast as if it were on my hard drive.

But! If your set on it. I think best buy has SATA SSD Drives for $30 for 250 I think and the Sata to USB3.1 Adater is 5 bucks on amazon.

People are over complicating this a bit for you.
Do what dude said copy the files over. DO NO click do this for all and click replace..DO NOT DO THAT lol

IT WILL give you the option to merge the folders.
I just spent 2 days with omnisphere for this exact reason. Overwrote the initial steam folder with the update.. Was hell till i fugred it out

The Omnisphere folder should be inside the Steam folder.

First of all, what macOS are you on? It matters because since Sierra (I believe) the Steam folder goes into the User Library (which is hidden). Previously, it went into the root Library. Not sure if it poses a problem with updates or not. It may not matter but I noticed the STEAM folder moved since (macOS) El Capitan.

    Here's the path: [IMG]

How to install (my version – OSX High Sierra)
    Open the folder /Users/[user_name]/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/
If Spectrasonics folder does not exist, create it.
Open the folder in FInder using the “go to…” option in the Finder menu.
Mount the first ISO: _Spectrasonics Omnisphere2d1.iso. Copy the STEAM folder from the ISO to /Users/[user_name]/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/.
Open a Terminal app instance. Then drag and drop Spectrasonics folder (I mean… /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/) from Finder to the Dock, where it is the Terminal app icon. This way, in the Terminal will appear the path to that folder. Execute command sudo chmod -R 777 ./*
This command will change permissions on the folder so we will be able to copy the rest of files from the other ISOs.
Mount next ISO files (dyn-somni2d(i).iso) and copy the STEAM folder to Spectrasonics folder (/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/). When Finder asks what to do, select “merge“.
Do step 4 for the rest of ISOs. After copying al the ISOs proceed to next step.
Execute installer (Step 1 – Installer) and then the patch library (Step 2 – Data Updater).
After the process has finished, execute the update. Launch “software update” first, and then “patch library”.

These steps will patch the component and VST by using the crack.
    [Patching]
Create a tmp folder on your desktop or where ever
Copy the Omnisphere vst and component to this tmp folder (located in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Omnisphere.vst /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Omnisphere.component)
In the tmp folder right click the vst file -> “show package contents”
Move /Contents/MacOS/Omnisphere to the root of the tmp folder
Run the Keygen.exe provided with the torrent.
Click Patch and select the Omnisphere file you just copied to the root of the tmp folder. -> Successfully patched
Move this patched file back to /Contents/MacOS/Omnisphere and delete the Omnisphere file on the root
    Repeat for the component
Move these patched vst and comp files back to to their original location (step 2). If prompted, chose to replace or overwrite.

    Reboot the Mac.

    [Running]
    Open your DAW
    Start an instance of Omnisphere
Copy the challenge code into the keygen and past the response code back in.
Restart your DAW and Omnisphere should be up and running.

    [Notes]
If your DAW complains that the STEAM folder is missing just located it at it’s install directory.
If your DAW complains about read/write permissions, you may need to chmod again.

I’ve entered it about a millions by now lol but this error keeps coming up after response code was entered. I also tried to restart my DAW and the plug in it self and even the laptop but nothing seems to help. If someone could help that’d be great thanks.
