Omnisphere error: "inconistent index data" can't get rid of it!

    hi,

    see attached pic for screen shot of error message:

    so a library called "User Trilian library" is causing Omnisphere to throw an error about "inconsistent index data" every time i launch it.

    i've refreshed/re-scanned from the Multi-browser like it says. (also from single patch browser)
    i've also re-scanned Trilian as well.

    i also went and deleted the offending lib older but it still throws the error.
    this is not related to win10 or permissions etc..
    i probably caused it moving folders around at some point but now i just want it gone.
    I don't care about the patches related to that folder anymore.

    is there an index file somewhere i can edit to remove this lib's entry?
    any suggestions on how to fix it are appreciated..

    There's a Trilian patch library update 1.4.7c available. Maybe try that first?

    does it look like this inside the Steam folder? Is the Trilian folder called something else?

    The reason I ask is because it sounds like you have saved something wrong in the Steam folder

    I have the same problem, but with keyscape. My folder directory is C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM\blah blah and I just updated both Omnisphere and Keyscape. I'm still not sure what the problem is.

    if you have updated Keyscape I don't think it should not say 10/31/2017 date modified. Could it be that the Keyscape update has been installed the wrong place.

    I suggest you replace the update content to their respective folders ( including the .txt ones )
    it worked for me.

    FIXED IT !!

    Daskeladden, my STEAM folder was like yours except it also had an additional file there - Trilian Library database file.
    i moved it to the Trilian folder and now everything is ok.

    found another thread about this confirming file location which said the following....

    And in ......\STEAM\Omnisphere\Settings Library\Multis\Factory should be Trilian Library.db
    And in......STEAM\Trilian\Settings Library\Patches\Factory should be Trilian Library.db too.


    the 2 database files appear to be needed for cross referencing and the error i got was because one was missing (sitting in the wrong folder)

    thanks everyone for your suggestions, i should have come here straight away..
    i wasted a lot of time on my own trying to fix this.

    Do you have just Omnisphere or Trillian and Keyscape too?

    so you get the same Trillian error message as the starter of this thread?

    Do you have a screen recorder? If you have make a video of you're Steam folder and click on all folders while you are recording.

    I do not have. but the order of the folders is like that of your image (Screenshot).
