the problem was he didn't downloaded it from sis site. so might be some problem with that. but no worries. i am here to help

 

Hi guys, I feel so dumb posting this but I am still stuck at Step 2 in the guide. I just dont understand anything.
I have downloaded Part 1-15 and Step 5-9 but I dont know what I should do next.
Part 1 for instance contains 7 .rar files and when you open 15496P1.part1 I get another 5 files labelled 20180906_120200.part01.7z.001 - 005
but 15496P1.part2 has the exact same files in it as 15496P1.part1...
I dont know what I should extract or what I should do with all those files and where and how I can get the iso file?
Can someone please help me.

 

@DenisWahner Just so you and anyone else with same issue understands. The unpacking is easy. You guys make it complicated.
What is the first thing you do when you are trying to open a file? You look at the extension. If it has a 7z, use 7Zip. If it has .rar, use WinRar. Those are the programs I used to pack those archives. Technically, you can unpack both file extensions using either one of those programs BUT it does not hurt to use the program that was used originally to pack them.
The ISO containing the STEAM is created when you unzip the 15 .rar archives. In order to get to those 15 .rar archives you need to unzip each zip archive inside each folder labeled Part 1 through Part 15 . In other words, you go to Part 1 and using 7zip you unpack those 5 archives. The result is going to be Part 1 .rar. Now you go to folder labeled Part 2 and you proceed to unzip the 5 zip archives. The result is going to be Part 2.rar. You do the same with the remaining 13 folders. When you have done that you are going to have 15 .rar archives which you are going to unpack using WinRar. The result is going to be an ISO containing the STEAM folder and files. You then proceed to extract the STEAM by using an ISO mounter or WinRar or 7Zip.

It would not matter one bit. The biggest problem here is that some people don't browse through previous threads. I guess it is easier for them to createa a new thread about the same issue. All these problems with Spectrasonics have been explained dozens of times. There is nothing new when it comes to issues and their solutions. Nothing.

 

but instead of giving them a reply we can make a video and stick the thread. just my opinion. but yeah these people are too lazy and they just think they'll make more music by skipping all those necessary steps. but they can't skip it. they have to follow the general procedure of installation no matter what. and they are thinking that they should leave the forums and come only when "they" need help. that's so selfish imo.
