I have 150GB of free space on my system drive to install the 60GB contents of the STEAM folder to. Yet the installer fails due to lack of space. I tried to install the STEAM folder to my external hard drive instead but the installer fails due to it not being able to write to a FAT32 formatted drive.

Can someone please help a brother out?

 

FAT32 is restricted to max. 4GB in one file. Reformat Your external drive to HFS+, and all will be fine.

Solution: I ended up having to manually move across the files into my Library folder of my boot drive due to the issue I was having. It seems like others have had this issue also. Reformatting the external hard drive for one library just isn't going to happen! Hopefully running the plugin from the boot drive doesn't impact performance too much.
