I'm having this weird issue with Omnisphere - the interface just freezes for like 10 seconds when clicking on buttons that relate to the soundbanks - for example, changing to "Sound Match" from "Attributes".

If i choose a category like "Guitars" it lags even longer - I just want to batch resave everything, but this is not kontakt :)

The interface is scaled to 100%. I'm using Studio One 4 in Windows 10. i7 4820 with 64 gb of ram.
STEAM folder is located on an SSD on sata3 and I rescanned the patches, rescanned the multis and the sound sources. Can I scan anything else, like cathegories?

Patches are loading ok, getting to them is the problem.

Yes, I do have a lot of libraries, many of them from Omnisphere 1.

    Thanks for your help!

That is way too long for Omnisphere to load patches. Even on a regular HDD, it does not take more than 1 or 2 seconds if everything is working as it should. Both of you are claiming that the interface freezes. That is a GUI issue that has plagued Spectrasoinicsfor years. Since it is a GUI issue the first thing to check is the graphic drivers. If you have an old driver, you should update it to the latest version. If you have the one that does not mean that it will give you the best performance 100% of the time. Also try switching between the Intel Graphic Controller and any other graphic card your computer may have. If that does not work I would just keep the STEAM folder and uninstall it completely. When uninstalling make sure that every registry entry is deleted. Depending on the number of DAWs that you use, you could have hundreds of registry entries. Therefore using an app like Regscanner will help you with this task. You should search for every entry pertaining to Spectrasonics, Omnisphere, Trilian, and Keyscape. From the STEAM folder, you must delete every zmap.index file from the Soundsources folders in Omnisphere, Trilian, and Keyscape libraries. There is more than one zmap.index file, so you have to look inside each individual subfolder in the Factory library folder.
Is it going to work? There is nothing to lose by trying.

I solved this issue with a new install. But don't uninstall previously.
And if you use Studio One disable "high dpi mode" in options.

Patches loading is super fast, it is just the first instantiation which takes longer as well as when clicking the first time on a multipart.
I updated the graphics drivers and disabled windows 8 compatibility mode which i had enabled for some reason, now and it seams to be a bit faster.

Disabled the Windows 8 compatibility mode in witch Studio One was running in and it suddenly works perfectly!
    Thank you!

Did you turn off "Switch to layer upon activation" too? @Lonely_Avatar your Omnisphere should be flying with the specs you posted.

I did, but some moderate lag came back.
It still takes a while changing from parts 1 to 8, when empty.

So here are some things that helped:

    0. Reinstall. Don't bother unless you messed up STEAM
    0. Graphics Driver - no sauce.
    0. Antivirus- no sauce.

    1. Disable Windows 8 compatibility - vastly improves performance, but no more Softube or McDSP that only run with S1 in compatibility mode.
    2. Disable Run as administrator
    3. Disable High DPI mode
    4. Don't scale the plugin interface, keep it at 100%. If I remember correctly that's when it became laggy for me.
    5. Rescan Soundsources, Recan Patches, Rescan Multis (in that order)
    6. Don't use custom STEAM torrents with third party libraries. That messed things up for me.
