This happened, in various ways, since I tried to update from 1.5, which was working. I deleted everything and did a fresh install of 2.3, then 2.6 updater, then finally 2.8. Yeah I did Batchmod it, thank you, I will try again just on the off chance. Hope to hear more suggestions. Truly want to get this working.

 

Thanks so much. I ran Batchmod on the Soundsources folder, and the entire Spectrasonics folder in User>Library>AppSupport etc. I gave everyone all privileges. Still no luck. Going to go try Trillian as a standalone. Omnisphere does not load as standalone. Thank you again. I opened Keyscape, can't WAIT to start using it! But alas, the same heartbreaking message. Cannot load soundsources. Ugh. Wanna fix this! Please share any additional thoughts.

Maybe I have missed it, but are we talking about legit or cracked Omnisphere? And you didn't answer why you only updated to 2.8.2.c

 

It was me who was asked the def12 question whether it was Omnisphere legitimate or cracked because the update is indicated in green which means that it was made online so in an official way and for clone as well.
If you have a cracked version and did the update online, the best thing is to start all over again and disconnect from the internet to do the update.
Besides, you didn't answer me but it seems not... namely apart from Omnisphere, can you play with Keyscape and Trilian in Omnisphere and I repeat in Omnisphere?
I will give you many other suggestions but first you have to know clearly what does not work and for that you already know what works or not clearly in Omnisphere!...
To make a diagnosis at best, you must know as precisely as possible how you proceeded to install Omnisphere and the same for the symptoms, what are they and all the cases in which they appear.
In other words, know how you proceeded to update Omnisphere?
As for the folders, these seem to be complete, although I don't know exactly where your Soundsources folder is, but what is certain is that the folders contained in the Soundsources folder are in the right place.
You say that you opened Keyscape but in standalone or plugin mode?...
If you can't load soundsources with Keyscape too...
Did you try to put all the files as I told you in the same place but on the Macintosh HD?
As for the def12 update whatever in the immediate future, it won't change anything to the current problem I think.
Whether it's 2.8.2c or 2.8.3d, in my opinion won't fix the problem of sound sources.
If you want me to help you, try to read what I'm asking you and answer it as clearly as possible because for now, I don't know much except that your Omnisphere plugin doesn't recognize soundsources , that your standalone version doesn't work... that Keyscape has the same plugin or standalone problem? and that your files seem complete.
One more thing, since version 2.6.3 or 2.6.4, Spectrasonics has changed its update "protection".
Maybe you should go to the sister site and look at what's been said in the different versions from 2.6 and onwards...it can be very instructive and enlightening for your problem!

 

Actually, now that I remember it; when I first bought Omnisphere; I was trying to get it installed to a WD Easy Store usb HDD. Something did not go well, and I ended up doing the one and only reformat to this macbook's ssd. I even put off tackling it for a couple of weeks, and end up switching to Lacie External hdd's anyway. Installed Omnisphere as 2.5 first and set it up with a symlink eventually. (the failing drive had a corrupt time capsule created)

For a paid copy of software, it wasn't very fun. But maybe look into Symbolic Linking.

Ah, interesting. Thank you. I just realized. The install never took long. It was like, done in a minute. Google search says it's supposed to take 30 minutes or more. I think it never installed, and I need to find an actual installer. I just don't get how. The files I d/l were huge... it should have. I think I didn't install the soundsource data right, otherwise how would it have gone so quickly? Oddly though, the right soundsources are in their right folders. Btw, I don't need it to be 2.8. 2.6 I'm sure would be fine; I would be quite happy to get to work.

I would Codesign all of it, if you have not already. Every file and folder that it installed. Check your pm.

 

Did you use the installers (plural) from the sistersite (which ones did you use)? Start at 2.6.0e and then install all the other updates?
Did you use the keygen from R2R? Did the cracking of the VST and Component work without failure? Did you use the keygen after the latest update? Did you block internet-access to Spectrasonics (the picture in the first post seems to indicate that you did not block internet access).

 

I think I did not block internet access. I need to block that when I install and update? I could erase everything, and reinstall with WiFi turned off. One of the huge downloads I have came with a cracked component and .vst, along with the keygen. It said to copy them into their respective folders and replace originals, which I did. I think that worked, since Omnisphere launches with no problem.

Also, not sure if this is relevant, but I can't open the .iso files from this Omni 2 download. https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=12486817 That's the link to it. Well the cracked VST and Component are overwritten once you install an update, so you should stick with the version that has the cracked VST and Component files or look for the omnisphere installers on the sister site and install it from there

 

OK! so if it's a cracked version, you must in no case write in the presentation of the plugin: You are up to date.
Your cracked version needs to be updated by the sister site and will never show up-to-date, even being up-to-date and therefore no green.

In my opinion, you must first remove everything and reinstall everything. Starting by disconnecting from the internet by unplugging yourself from the network and therefore redoing the installation.
It no longer requires that your cracked version is a green indicated update (legitimate version) when you open it.

I don't remember but yes it takes a while anyway just because there are at least 60 GB of Sound Sources.

You installed a cracked version and updated like you had a legit version!
As long as you have the update indication in green I'm afraid it won't work.

It's so good of you to respond, thank you. Please send a link to the sister site? I don't know what that is. I'm new here. Yeah, perfectly fine with a lower version. What I need, if you or anyone has it, is a link to a version of Omnisphere 2 that will install for Mac. Then I'm fine with 2.6 update. It doesn't work no matter what version, at this time, because I never got a link to 2 that installs properly. If you can find one, I would be so grateful. Thank you.
