Err, I neither understand the thread's title, nor this thread or why it is in this sub forum. You care to elaborate?

Regards thread title, 'lack of taste' is the answer I guess.
Yeah right, when the thing is non-genre specific and is called "What's a genre" remix!

@4:05 pitched up "Oww" sample from the start of Prince's Tick, Tick, Bang.

I am guessing it was posted as a commentary on “how” is this classed as music?

mm, simply irritating to my ear. but, its certainly elaborated crap.

and, if you look for extremes you will always find something to whine over so without even a relevant comment from the op, the thread is much worse than the actual "song" imo

Meh, it's work like any other if people like it then more power to them.

I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into this, it may not be my bag and I wouldn't go looking for it, but it is art like any other.

Maybe if I was still young and could roll triple dose xtasy in those Dutch Hard-style clubs I would get it, unfortunately my body probably just wont survive it so it is intellectually intriguing but that is about it.

i have no clue what it is doing here, but am guessing the how is a question about process if so:

There is a lot of programmed time synced filter sweeps, tape stops, ring mod glitches and delays, look at Izotope's Stutter Edit/BreakTweaker, Sugar Bytes Tornado/Effectrix, Illfromed Glitch, UA Sandman Pro. Add a little of you and some tempo grid locking and whatever mental lubrication you prefer and off you go.

I love Dnb and such but that is 100pc not my thing although i have no issues with it and it's far from musically 'bad' if that's a term. Credit where it's due that takes alot of engineering work to make something like that and from a music theory standpoint it is solid . I'd rather listen to some Jazz in a chilled bar but many teenagers frequenting nightclubs are going to cum in their pants over that shit, especially the high ones! My next door neighbour better not subject my ears to that though or we are going to have problems!!!

  16. I want to know how....when you're a teenager and blind and you can play every instrument put in front of you. She does Emerson and Zappa here.

There's an interview with Stevie Wonder somewhere where he spoke about how he learnt to play with no sight. When you are blind you naturally learn to use your other senses more effectively. Seeing could even be considered a distraction. Imagine you have to learn how to play an instrument - Piano/Guitar etc with your eyes shut. You are going to focus more on the positioning of your hand/finger and the note it produces. It's like when Kung Fu guys blindfold themselves.

Sorry mate. The op track is presets galore. Too many samples and presets? yeah. Some interesting but typical of the genre fx? Yeah. Sound design? Nope. Someone took bits and pieces of genre specific sounds from many edm styles also including some contemporary pop and tried to make something that defies genres but instead it's just a patchwork. No coherence. What fusion lol. Parts succeed one another. Like a medley of different tracks, i can name mashups that blend better than this. At the end of the day this is just a complextro edm track that turns to (uninteresting) house towards the end.
For what it's worth, interesting effort tbh, someone spent time on this, at least it has quite a lot of mouse clicks painting note snippets across the timeline etc. Better than most trap tracks lol.
Btw, i pressed funny for the " Ok how" which actually sounds really funny to me.
    Cheers

I've lost hope for the future of music. I can't think of any other rescue mission out any longer. I feel like we're nearing the end of music.
