Although this old tune is supposed to be somewhat ironically happy I thought that a sad rendition could be ironic too...and made this for my Off The Grid (acoustic) series.

 

interesting how different feels can be mixed in one song. your version sounded folklore and then suddenly went rocky at times. i would have like it more if it had gone one way. thanks for posting your work

Don't get too close to that fire with your guitar else the glue softens and the bridge could spring off. The next sad song will be a lament about your nice mahogany guitar.

Kinda loving the acoustic stuff; and the (idea of a) cheerful lament works well! I did smile at a few points - "artificial respiration", "fertilized", "doth" :D - and the ending, so it was worthwhile. I also share the concerns my liquid friend has about ur guitar XD.. Although, I guess u can describe it as wood smoked & bump up the price, if u ever sell it on eBay!

 

Just FYI: it's an Ibanez PC12MH-OPN - it costs around 100 bucks atm and I paid even less as I bought it used/second hand.
It's insanely good for the price...and it even looks good.
