I have to be honest: in recent years I thought Big Teams had already defeated AAA hard iLok+ layers, and that everything was proper in their internal vault, but honestly I have to think again. I believe that if we haven't seen major audio companies (like Avid, UA, Sonnox, McDSP) for decades, it's because big Teams have never truly been able to defeat such prestigious protections. Kudos to PACE, and to these companies who will be able to remain calm for many years to come. Fortunately, prices are much lower, and with a lot of offers, you can purchase the most important iLok software

 

B.S.. There are reasons why particular stuffz haven't been warezed and neither you, I, or anyone else here has a real clue as to exactly what the reasons really are. Speculations are a plenty but no one actually knows why.

I will say this because it is a fact of the real world - NOTHING IN THE DIGITAL REALM IS UNCRACKABLE. And as far as true "gongs" go, I have still yet to see one.

 

^ there are a number of things which have never been 100% perfectly cracked, but still gotten released anyway. Every time a Mac team releases something such as Neural, Strymon Bigsky, Metric Halo, Vertigo, etc; and less than a day later there is a Windows release; they prove your initial theory is right.

 

in addition to what you said, i don't think PACE or any other major Protection company in the audio realm will invest more than video Editing and VFX softwares and yet these has been cracked, imagine a software like NUKE Studio that has a price tag of $6000+ per year subscription or Houdini for $3000+ per year rental, never forget Adobe stuff and Autodesk... Audio softwares don't really count in term of value in comparison to these and yet they've been cracked, so yes NOTHING IN THE DIGITAL REALM IS UNCRACKABLE, so i believe everything or most valuable audio stuff has been cracked or at least there was been attempts to do so, remember when R2R released i believe Vocalign they admitted that they
cracked old iLok-VocAlign in 2020 - 2021, however they kept it to the internal vault for some technical reasons, that could be one of reasons why they don't release something and release it whenever they see fit, when ? nobody knows ,could be months or years like Vocalign case, but it depends on many circumstances.

Agreed, though I wouldn't perhaps mind one that was strictly limited to what's released. But I think that's nearly impossible.

 

I've been saying this for years: every year the "Gong Thread" arrives, generally mid-September, and the same grand celebration begins, based on aspirations and dreams. The problem is that 98% of the people on these forums have been dreaming for years (decades now) about those four or five companies that truly change the game, But unfortunately, since they'll probably never make it to warez, these threads are destined to always end in a lot of resentment and frustration. For this reason, I think it's best not to open them, because we've been watching the same movie for years: they always end in the same disastrous way.

The advantage of the Gong Thread: You get to know your fellow human beings very well, in both a positive and negative sense. I'm in favor of the savings pot model: buy a piggy bank and fill it up, then you can soon buy your Pro Tools or UAD, and you'll be doing something good and supporting manufacturers who ultimately deserve to be paid for their work.

As dry as Z is right now, who knows who is making the next big drop. I have and still am collecting each VSL library that drops, I guess that was the gong of 2025 and Neural DSP. Neural DSP wasn't really a big deal, there are 1000s of guitar sims it seems, so.....

Avid? It's 2026, if you haven't been able to find a way to own Pro Tools by now, then you need to get out of the audio game, you were never serious in the first place.
