In case of supplying plugins, I wonder if it matters if I were to say, provide some trial UAD plugin, or an iLok trial plugin in general (though I don't think trials for plugins necessitate someone going out of their way to supply them), or if it's important for them to somehow be legitimately activated as purchased copies instead.

I don't think it matters most of the time, but I'm still curious about that
