If a plugin has become essential in your workflow, buy it.

i bought all Soundtoys, few UAD, few Sonnox, i even bought Soothe2 in a black friday as i'm working on both PC and MAC, my DAW is legit, can't do everything at once and still using few R2R Softube so buying legit can create issues if both installed, idk why i'm explaining to you, i have nothing to justify especially with that comment of yours.

This is a wonderful iteration of the Witch energy and a great version of this band.

I'd rather see something new any day of the week, as long as it is cracked properly. People were (small number still are), using Softube, Sonnox, etc. plugins on Mac that were released 10 years ago (if 64bit versions anyway). These plugins did not become "useless" because of new updates until being "obsoleted" by OS updates and even hardware cpu architecture changes. In the case of AudioEase Altiverb 7, people were using the same 10 year old version as their paying customers continued to.

All of these semantic update versions are more beneficial to releasers, not users. Unless you use incomplete products that need 10 new feature requests loaded into each update, or are the unfortunate 1 in 5,000 users actually affected by a bug; by downloading every tiny 0.0.x new version, all that is happening is the releaser is getting more bandwidth usage to be rewarded for with almost no additional effort. Do you really need three APU compressor updates in the same day? Ask yourself who actually benefits from all these useless updates. Because it is almost never you.

Without looking at a changelog, most users can't even say what a "patch" or "build" version update even did for them. And as the comment I quoted suggests, if you need all these micro update versions; you should consider buying what you actually use.

yeah that's what i thought, i might be that 0.0000% of users affected by a bug, i don't even update my legit plugins as long they work properly so i'm not hoping for the updates just for the sake of it, but i may end up buying it anyway

yah, idk why you chose to interpret my comment as some horrendous thing. Nobody is asking you to do everything all at once, you stated yourself the softube stuff has become an essential part of your workflow over a few years. Softube has their new subscription thing going on that may be worth checking out. Its essentially rent to own. You have access to most of their plugins in a bundle, and each month you earn credits when can then be converted to perpetual licenses. Allows you to not have to buy all them at once, get updates, and more plugins!

Maybe it really is Spitfire Audio and uploading those massive libraries to multiple hosts is taking quite a while. It's not like they're shy about the file size of several libraries.

They announced the death of the legendary monster, then version 2025.10 released, so they have to re-kill it.

And Soundflow integration for one feels like a nice feature to bypass some of the learning on how to use PT and instead be able to brute force your way around with the button macros and existing Ableton and Adobe knowledge lmao

Oh man, that's sick, I haven't used PT since the SE version for Windows 7. It's been a looong time so being able to automate stuff and run through everything with macros would be so damn nice. Lol
