Christmas/NYE has been irrelevant for years now. For R2R, the golden period is Halloween/Black Friday. Gongs/Special biggest releases have always arrived around that time

Ahhh right in the heart... Beautiful words, it really makes you feel this.

 

Some people here are getting confused. We know 2 things:
1) Legendary
2) Has --> NEVER <-- been released before

But some are trying to guess without those in consideration.

Except from UAD (which i really hope that this is the case...) what else is legendary and has NEVER been released here before?
I'm sure it must be something else too that i'm missing right now and i can't name.
what realeases fit those criteria?

 

I bet there is be no:
- uad
- protools
- sonnox
- slate rack & other
- refx (I mean by R2R)
- Avenger (50x50)

If i understood correctly they weren't talking specificaly about beeing released by them.
I believe the word "unreleased" is very specific ---> not beeing released. That simply means that not other teams released the thing that is about to come. I don't know why some people don't understand that concept.

I'm almost sure that protools have been released some time in the past, The same goes for slate rack e.t.c.
refx is already there and i believe avenger has been released too. I dont know about sonnox though.

Because R2R are very technical detail minded witches, they could do something that "has been done before"; and still be correct when saying it hasn't. Let's say they have done Sonnox (per above comment) Well, they would be correct if you were to differentiate between old 32bit versions and 64 bit versions which have never been done. Also, Sonnox made an announcement about a year ago now; where they were changing which "variant" of iLok they have implemented.

You'd not be wrong to say they have been done before. But ultimately no-one would still be thinking about that a week from now.

My final predictions/hopes (that are going to make people mad for some reason):
1. UAD - for obvious reasons
2. Pro Tools - based on the 2021.7 release notes (full release never showed up before, like we were expecting)
3. Some other tool I've never heard of

R2R witches, thank you for whatever is coming. Even if it's not what I'm personally hoping for, I'm still thankful and can't wait!
