I love R2R and I am very grateful for what they've done over the years, but seriously how many "Every basic plugin that your DAW already has" bundles from random no name companies we gonna get? They can crack the hardest DRM protection but all they do most of the time is just crack another generic plugin bundle of the same old basic eq, compressor, etc. Seems like a waste of everyone's time in my opinion.
If the wave of releases is going to happen, I'm not expecting anything nor do I really want anything from it.

 

With their previous products, yes - they are iLok protected. But the newest Vocalign 6 Pro is not. I'm pretty sure they use LexActivator and it's super annoying. Asking for a license randomly and I had to ask support why is that. They replied it has 5 (five!) days of grace period if you're offline.

Yes, that's true. The entire line of Synchro Arts products changed protection a few months ago. They no longer use iLok. And they use a particular lame protection, that has to be essentially online to work. For me who in the studio works exclusively offline, it is unusable. In fact I went back to the previous version with iLok Key.

this logic always amaze me , someone who wrote a software should not need a cheap just outdated on day of use av scanner and should know whats causing the report ....and he knows it fo sho but giving a for the sheeps AV scan reference.....

 

Years ago, I read in an R2R nfo that they actually cracked Avenger and that they would not share it without obtaining all the sound packages.

I wonder if that year could be this year?

 

I love the VSE-2 amd VSE-4, not sure how to properly describe them, but they just sounds so good and really fit my EQ-ing style especially the VSE-4.

For real ? I didnt know this, I'm having a doubt whether to install the V.R release because the older ones timebombed real hard. So, are you saying the newest V.R releases actually not timebombing ? want to update.

already added the option. I respect your opinion even though I'm not entirely agree. For me the updates are equally important compared to the initial releases. Sometimes having outdated version make you feel left behind, and making the plugin feels really old. It disrupt the experience a bit. While "every basic plugin" is true, I think more than half offered more than what a basic DAW plugin offering. We all have unique needs and hard to satisfy everyone, plugin DAW stock plugins these days are pretty good.

didn't know that they switched, not mentioned in their website but really good to know that they might got slayed in a bit. not letting the user going offline is a big no. wtf they are thinking.

they still got a good 25 years left in the tank, so.. not happening any time soon.

Are you sure ? If so, I think they should rerelease the request. It seems like a lot of new people been wanting to get the Avenger and maybe they can contribute to the cause and actually make it happen.

After our attack to WIBU on January 2020, MAAT dropped WIBU and they went to
Nalpeiron / Zentitle licensing system. While the protection of Nalpeiron is
not so hard, it is much more cpu friendly than WIBU and no specific services
or drivers are required.
Funny excuse for selling worthless WIBU dongle from developer :
"even though we don't use them these days, our CodeMeter CmStick dongles are
still the best way to license any other Wibu-protected products you may own.
They're portable, plus incredibly small and tough."
This time we emulated Nalpeiron / Zentitle in DLL level. AAX works in legit
ProTools of course
Technically, cracking Nalpeiron is not difficult and you can crack like
other normal application. However, MAAT / Nalpeiron crashes in multi instance
processing when it is patched badly. Our emulation is carefully done to avoid
those extra problems!
While we are reversing the protection, we found a bug causing crash.
1. Run Host A and load plugin X.
2. Run Host B and load plugin X.
3. Unload plugin X in Host A.
4. Unload plugin X in Host B -> CRASH!
Do not load plugins in multi app at same time.
(Loading multi instance in single audio host is OK).
To developer for the fix crash issue:
You are using the return value of NalpLibOpen() to count the number of
instance. It works in one single process but does not in multiple process.
You are better to add suffix to the name of license log file (based on time
or value of GetTickCount) and problem should be gone.
Response to some conspiracy theory about WIBU:
* We already unpacked and emulated Avenger v1.5.5 (WIBU protected).
* Protecion is AxProtector, IxProtector, CoreAPI. nothing new after doing
Antares and MAAT products.
* CoreAPI is used for encrypting presets and expansion. This is already
emulated for Antares products, but every single expansion needs different
keys (legit license) for the emulation.
* You can't ask R2R to decrypt expansion unless you give the license to us.
* If you save presets in WIBU protected Avenger, preset will be encrypted
WIBU. If Mr.Keilwerth drops WIBU, your saved presets cannot be loaded
in non-WIBU version. We warned!
* ATM We don't have plan to release unless we have all expansions with lic.
(It's not KONTAKT lib which does not need legit license for the crypto!)
* We already emulated Reason. CoreAPI only. No packer is used.
* Every single RackExtension needs legit license.
* We saw crack of Reason somewhere but it does not work. Project made by
legit Reason cannot be loaded in that cracked version due to the lack of
decryption emulation.
* ATM We don't have plan to release unless we have all extensions with lic.
We don't think you will be satisfied if we release Avenger with few
expansions, or if we release Reason with few extensions.
The reason why we expose this information is, Mr.Keilwerth really takes
care about the protection. We want to know how he thinks in this situation.
[1] If only few expasions and Avenger will be cracked, I don't care!
[2] If R2R does not release unless they get all expansions, Avenger is safe!
[3] I will change the protection again! (3rd time)
[4] I gave up and stick to WIBU.
[5] R2R tells lie. AxProtector + IxProtector + CoreAPI is secure!
(If he really think so, he should read our NFO of Antares and MAAT and
check if his "protection" is stronger than them = NO)
Let's see the reaction from him, and the reaction from the legit users for
his decision. Then, we will discuss if we need to change our mind.

Considering all the reviews it's a pretty solid and versatile "workstation" ...

Guys, Avenger doesn't use Codemeter for over a year. So I tend to exclude Wibu from Gong. That NFO is really old, from January 2020.

 

regarding Audiothing:

the latest one by VR works perfectly well in my scenario.
Not only this, it is also no hassle to mix them up with legit ones. Got three of the newer ones as legit along with the bundle from VR. (something that was terribly painful achieving with R2R release)

Now if you check the trackers... on ru.. there is a version called:

Audiothing - Effect Bundle 2023.05 Rev2
and on audionews there is another one:

Audiothing. Effect Bundle 2023.06
(going from the size they shoudl be the same)..

Give it a go. I think this is the most stable Audiothing release from VR.

 

Really ? that would be more unique than rare ! Big respect is due to both teams anyway.
