^ The track is always THE BOSS : if i open a synth & i play a preset & that inspires me to write a riff then i might tweak it a bit & off i go !
i like doing a lot of sound design in fm8,omnisphere & sylenth1
Presets are not bad to use if it enhances the track & is useful in the context of your music
Let me give you 2 examples from producers that i love & respect so much :

example # 1 ZHU - FADED :
Sylenth1 preset 009 arp Gitano(arp turned off ) was used for the main riff...
Sylenth1 preset 064 reso bass was used for the bass.... :

example #2 The Prodigy - Wild Frontier

Sylenth1 preset 392 arp firefly was used as the opening arp

so ....i like doing sound design & when i have time i create my own presets,(also in massive),& if i find a nice premade one & fits my composition i will use that too as ZHU or Liam Howlett from the Prodigy

I do very little sound design programming from scratch... Most times I find myself using presets with small to large changes made in their parameters or insert/ send fx...

I must have made like a grand total of 9 or 10 sounds from scratch in over 12 years of producing music on computers...

Your sound selection really stands out... Each sound has a very clear sonic space it occupies... Makes for a very crisp and tight soundscape... A great talent!

 

^ yes if you adjust a preset to fit your track, add reverb to it(your own flavor) eq & compress,flange/delay/phaser/distort it & so own
then it becomes your own
i would suggest no matter what your particular style in any moment,
to learn good & use fm8 : once you understand the interface & the routing of it, it is a very powerful tool (fm synthesis )
also you can separate the 2(creation of tracks & sound design),when you're bored & have nothing better to do fire up your favorite synth & create something(sound) from
scratch
a couple of presets today,a couple tomorrow......before you know it & as you know sometimes time flies ,you will have your own folder with lets say 100 presets.....then fire up your favorite DAW & let magic happen

I share my music here too, but writing honestly it's never for the community always myself, whether that be the composition itself or for the potential of gratification from affirmation and likes.

As for "If you don't like it, there are plenty of threads that you can enjoy here on the forum", it's not a like or dislike thing, it was just a question about the motive which you've now answered (even if in a bit precious sort of way).

Your already did...and it is Distasteful! An opinion on his music, ok..I can see that. But...

He was just sharing his music, his way...How can you judge him on that on his thread?!
