Sporting unique sonic capabilities, flexible parametrisation and modern, informative GPU accelerated user interface, soothe paves the way as the first in oek-sound’s range of novel audio processors.

“soothe is a useful and unique addition to sound engineers’ palette of tools. Even prior to its release, it has already found its place on the mastering chain of a number of international and front line national releases, giving me all the reason to believe in its success.”, oek-sound’s founder Olli Keskinen says.

soothe works by automatically detecting the resonances in the audio material and then applying a reduction that matches the input signal.
It can be used to achieve very transparent de-essing and dynamic equalisation, or to fix often encountered problems: excessive handling noise and fretboard noises on acoustic guitar and double bass, overly bright eletric guitar tracks, whistling drum and cymbal close mics.
The amount of audible artefacts is minimised, and the process doesn’t introduce cross-over artefacts or pre-ringing.

The initial release is for Mac OSX as 32/64 bit VST, AU and AAX, with the Windows version currently under development to follow shortly.

soothe is available for the introductory price of 99 EUR until November 6th, 2016 (regular 149 EUR). No dongle required. A free 14-day trial version is available for download.

Supposed to sound noticably better at 96 kHz at the moment. Dev hopes to improve this in the future. Worth pirating, TRYING, I meant trying!

Excellent plugin. It went practically unnoticed until last fall when some big names starting labelling it names like "the silver bullet plugin", "the cant live without it plugin", "magic wand for Lead Vocals", and so on.

Soothe is described by Oeksound as a ‘dynamic resonance suppressor’ and is essentially a tool for reducing unwanted frequencies in your material. Similar to a multiband compressor or dynamic EQ, this plug-in allows you to target particular ranges of frequencies and control them to your liking. https://www.musictech.net/reviews/oeksound-soothe-review/

Was updated to 1.3.0 recently (now at 1.3.1), now uses iLok, which I won't install since the last time it bombed my system royally. It was supposed to be a "major update." Does anyone know what's different or if the interface changed? The oeksound website says f**k all.

"De-harshes" vocals, instruments, etc. Can also be thought of as an "auto notch" filter, which works better than manual notching because it can "notch" dozens of bands automatically. Sounds really good, probably better than any other de-harsh filter ever developed. If pushed or driven hard, it gives the source material a "fuzzy" kind of sound, which is usually unwanted but could be used for creative effect.

Originally used a proprietary DRM, now uses iLok. People have been whinging for it to be cracked for the past three years.

Tried the demo. Honestly did not see the hype with this one.

It really helps me to deal with a harsh sounding vocal sent by a client. Soothe repairs it effortlessly without noticable artifacts.

I'm truly hoping for something in the making. Because I currently use the 20 days iLok trial version. Soothe is really good but $150 is just too pricey for me.

I know there is a demo out there but it's only a 30 day trial or something to that effect...Is there any way one could extend this by clearing caches and deleting registry files?

Do you think you can defeat ilok as simple as that? They have the legacy that does not use iLok but needs online activation.

I've never had anything with iLok so don't know too much about it tbh. Just thought I'd ask about restarting the trial

I'm afraid that no team will ever reverse engineer soothe.
