i'm not talking about the tempo track, just manually changing it in the transport.

when i change the tempo in the transport the time line maintains its relative time position. (seconds) I want it to maintain it's relative musical position (bars)

for example.. the time base is set to bars and the time line is at bar 5 if i change the tempo in the transport, the time line moves

i want it to stay at the same bar position

it's really annoying when changing tempos this way and having to scroll up & down to find it again and move it back to the required position.

also when scrolling the tempo up & down the audio cuts out & waits until you've stopped adjusting the tempo rather than smoothly speeding up/slowing down.

i know Reaper & Ableton Live work the way i want.. can S1?
