Both functioned perfectly fine for me in WIndows 11 without any issues.

Like you, I got them with a previous Novation Impulse keyboard purchase, but also had a license for B-Station before I bought the MIDI keyboard, so in effect have two B-Station and one V-Station license that I now can't retrieve or authorise, meaning the plugins are in the constant demo and nagging for license mode.

 

That's a real bummer Bunford if you're on a fully legit install, of course if not you know what the solution is..

From a personal standpoint I'm happy to hear that they're still functioning in W11, even though I'm not on it. I guess W12 is gonna be around by the time I upgrade my system so that'll be a whole new bunch of shit to navigate.

It's pitiful that Novation didn't take the time to implement an offline solution before withdrawing the instruments. How difficult could that have been? Sure for a decent coder it's not even a full days work to solve that problem. I'm tempted to get on to them and ask them to issue a statement saying that the official way to authorise is now via R2R keygen..

 

I have a license for both and just use the sister versions. Much easier than having to deal with those headaches. I don't even know how to go about activating, but why bother? The end result is the same.

Would be nice to see a 64 bit version of the FX Suite made available. The filter is pretty fuckin awesome.

Windows 11 has broken Melodyne 4. It must have been some changes done in the system then.

Anyway, has anybody contacted Novation about the authorisation issues? They were very helpful with my hardware before.

 

Same happened to me a bunch of years ago when I got the B Station bundled with their Saffire 6 USB interface. Once I changed computers it no longer worked. I wish the company would more focus right on customers...Thank you for your purchase, you are a cherished customer...to a degree until you bore us.

And they will not work anyway. They will not authorise as the license server has been taken down, so the key file has nothing to authorise against. May as well just get the latest R2R or TCD, which ever you prefer, as that is the only option now.

 

Oh, damn, that I didn't know. At least V-Station 2.6 R2R is still up there.

 

I couldn't tell you, I know effectively zero regarding code. I'd just read that some people were having issues installing on W11. It's most likely that was actually coincidental and the real issue was the license server being unavailable, which would of course be OS independent.

I think, in essence, that you are correct. It does seem however that there are more complex underlying issues at play.

It looks like Focusrite PLC is heading down the severe corporate route, now boasting former investment bankers and the like as board members. They're obviously on the acquisitions path, now owning Adam, Sequential, Oberheim and Sonnox brands. They also appear to have set up a specific software brand "Ampify" with the former Novation software developers.
