I want to know how old are you to understand how fucking fortunate you are to have all in your hands today with few fucking dollars/euro/or cryptocrap!
Yes I'm an old farter, I know well the evolution audio scene, and I can tell you enjoy every fucking cracked bit, sometime I want that u mass of fortunate guys will wake-up one day in the early 80's where u can only dream about to spend few money for one synth, real one, not an emulation click and go easy life, where u can only dream to have a garbage tape 4 track record instead a DAW!!!!!
WTFFFFF enjoy the real life and stop to cry at every release and go to make some music instead!

I can understand anyone who buys a massive library only to find they do not like it and moans that they spent good money on something they dislike and may not use. But getting it for free?
My take on that if I get something for free is gratitude that I did not pay thousands of dollars to be burdened with something I may never use.
I like it it and it's cool for others not to like it is also my take on it. If you paid for it and hate it, well yes, that really sucks. To me that is justified. Moan away in that scenario.
    As you all were.

I think last one I tried was an Amplesound Taylor acoustic (I think amplesound may be wrong) and that sounded pretty damn decent.

You can totally get away with basic chords and leads, no problem by using any library or modeler you want. I'm talking more about bends, slides, accents, taps, sweep picking and other techniques which aren't your basic upstrokes or downstrokes.

As I said before modeler tech probably have upped their game in these departments but it's so much simpler for me to grab the thing and play it to be perfectly honest. It's deceptively over complicated.

GuitarTeq, that sounds interesting. Never came across that before.

@Donut Nyamer I think Guitars and saxophones have the most likely outcome of lacking reality with certain techniques no matter how good the samples are. Some things like power chords single chord hits etc are fine, but natural nuances on both still lack. You cannot beat a real player. These days in a Cinematic or EDM mix it does not matter so much, but in an environment that requires a natural 'rawness', the majority of samples do not cut it for the greater part.
That said, the new Omnisphere Nylon extension has been done really well.

the only reason im a legit user of UVI falcon is because i wanted to explore these
old synths that UVI provided for me like emu 1 and II ,and that CMI too and there are too many
which i love each one of them and been using them since release date

if UVI continue to bringing these old machines back then i ll keep continue supporting UVI
whether R2R involved with the new product or not

as for the OP post goes saying hes not impressed with falcon
DUDE ,there are tons of videos on falcon features on youtube
for the past years and all comments posted here begging R2R
to crack it (4 years ago to be exact)and i dont think they are asking this
    because they are NOT impressed

hell im not impressed by kontakt ,all these years they have the same GUI
and i do have kontakt but i dont like how it loads you need magnyfying glass to use it
did they fix that that ? NO ,do they care what we think about kontakt ? NO
UVI products are whole different world ,its suppose to give you retro sounds
from these classic sounds ,sure there few new trendy trancy ass sounds
for the sake of ''catching up'' but the golden sounds from the past is what UVI represents

you want new out of this world sounds ? and you dont wanna pay for it
wait for R2R and BEG them for a year or 2
maybe they can get you nexus 4 for you ,
and dont come back with ''im not impressed by nexus 4 '' post either
,(yeah nexus 3 is now nexus 4 go check their site)

    geez

13 pages and going at this point. Personally surprised it is still going given that most responses have absolutely nothing to do with the original question that was posed:
    • Not impressed by Falcon, am I the only one ?
How does calling someone ungrateful, stupid & etc.. answer this question?
Why can't someone have an opinion about UVI Falcon that is not in line with what you think?
If you spout ill will towards another, do you not expect a response?

That's the way the world is and that's how people are, different, sometimes stupid, some very intelligent, some make an effort, some are aggressive and some are somewhat psychologically impaired. Some are just and some are unjust. What you have read here is a cross-section of the population. You will experience and read the same thing on YouTube, Facebook and other forums. Now at least you have a range of opinions and you know how people think. The people here come from all parts of the world and are also shaped differently.

Do you understand the meaning of 'Complex" in reference to sound, data, thought & flavor/taste for example?

Yes you see these things in everyday life. So you are willing to jump off a cliff just because another person did it or, do you? This is 'one', of the basic lessons we are reminded of constantly as a child.

Have you not realized that you, keep proving my point over and over by your responses.

Hello @ quadcore64, I'm thrilled that there are people like you who are still thinking and trying to make the world a better place. Unfortunately, posting will not improve or change people. We can only exchange ideas and make the best of the situation. You can dislikes and likes etc and so express your opinion about what has been written here in the forum. Besides, we can at least still discuss the best way forward.

It is thinking. It is in the knowing and doing that the world around me is better. Perfect? Of course not. This what makes everyday a new experience.

As an alternative, you can also use Native Instruments as a workstation. With Falcon you can do a lot more, Falcon is a
hybrid and has a synthesizer on board. The UVI workstation is free and easy, but you have to buy the sound libraries.

One person only plays a few samples, the other makes some music in the evenings after work, and some use it for work.
There are also users who only play a certain style or genre. Everyone should use what they can handle.

If you are overwhelmed with Falcon then stick with what you have. Above all, music should be fun and not torture.
Choose something from the huge range of software that interests you, test it, keep it or delete it.

I've been testing Falcon for at least a week now, I've chosen the banks that are interesting to my eyes and ears, I like it, adding Falcon sound layers to other plugs brings rich sounds, you have to take the time to get an idea, Beat Box is nice, and some of the little banks are well done, easy to assign via midi hardware, we are really lucky to be able to test all this....thank you R2R!...for all!

falcon is super easy to use as a rompler or anything else you can do in workstation, just like with Kontakt. The free players are normally just "lite" software versions and mostly just take up duplicate hdd space, once you install the "pay" versions.

anyway, some of these libraries you guys are checking out are monstrous size. but one thing I like is layering in Falcon with the less "instrumental" libraries. You already have an instance open, so it takes very little additional resources to duplicate the part and just change the midi channel back 1. change tuning a few semis, whatever.
