So when you insert *loud fart here* Ola Englund style they won't be able to smell it.

Genius idea, I need to go pick me up some incense from the smoke shop next time I'm there.

You've convinced me to try the "Digitally Cloaked Musk" scent which I never get because I don't think it will work as advertised.

Using warez is illegal, no matter if you do it in a millionaire audio production studio or in the bedroom of your home: you are equally punishable under the law. It seems an obvious concept, but it must be made clear otherwise there could be misunderstandings: copyright does not provide “fair use” on commercial software (a typical example of fair use in copyright is the student who photocopies a book to study).
Said that, it must also be said that a hobbist audio producer would probably never buy that $1800 app for his home studio, so from an ethical point of view he is not doing any harm, there is no lost earning for the developer.
The situation is different for an audiopro studio, where pirated software generates a profit: this is a very unethical behavior that in my opinion should be punished

But that's not the same thing as plugin piracy....
I think popular artists like martin garrix maybe even get an endorsement deal if they get caught. Because that's more profitable for the companys than a lawsuit. But if you're a nobody you'll get fucked for sure.

Question 1: Are you likely to storm the charts any time soon with your tracks?

Question 2: Is your ambition to become a famous youtuber by passing on your "sure-fire DAW tips" so your audience can become the next Dr Dre?

Question 3: Is your soul likely to be so tortured by your guilt of using of illegal software so much that you are going to hand yourself in to your local cop shop and write a signed confession?

If the answer to all three questions is no, then nothing to see here... move on with your life.

and there is some excellent freeware out there. i firmly believe it is possible to create a marketable track with freeware. you might need to pay someone to master it before you release it though.
