I'd say 90% of your issue is an internal inspiration problem, It might be fair to blame 10% on the external visuals. I've done the whole 'change the look of my setup' before only to become faced with the lack of inspiration issue soon again. Fix the heart, not the studio.

 

Put yourself in the mindset of NOT being able to create music for the rest of your life. Still no urge or inclination to create anything? Take a week away from your gear, then return to your studio. Still no lust for swinging the airwaves? Go out again and take an even longer break. Listen to music, visit a museum, travel a bit... Anything but producing or writing. Forbid yourself to writing anything! Reverse psychology....

I have managed to sketch up my room dimensions using Roomle on my iPad. It’s not ideal as it’s long and narrow....the joys of living in a city central apartment! The desk is currently under the window with a DIY rack unit to the left next to the sofa and the only other furniture is as below, being my chair, the small sofa and a shelving unit in the corner that houses my external hard drives.

purple is very very cool but unfortunately it represent the wrong stuff nowadays...stigmata of the one....

 

i would choose pastel earth tones with hard contrast color strips and shizl..both mixed
dont do it like thes former stift of mine he he...acryl get yellow....use white paint to make edges sharp befor color youtre stripes...use a lot of stripes kreuz und quer with concept..diffrent colors but sort of complimentary

 

i would do it like daymode and night mode...for night mode use black light reflecting colors and black light for night mode

 

Listen to different kinds of genres than you usually listen to

It will dramatically change your boring and basic inspiration mood. When it happened to me, I started to listen to different genres which are totally different than my artist/producer style. Then I have been suddenly inspired to combine this different genres with my main style and I got amazing results.

Last, but not least : if there are some people sucking your mood in your life, kick their asses out from your life. it helps too.
