Hi Everyone! I've been busy as a banker swimming in a sea of debt trying to come up with something new and work on it for more than two days.
We've still got another week.

 

We at SacredVisionStudio have been working 24/7 recording, mixing, mastering and even making our own acoustic and virtual instruments in order to come in under the gun on September 1st at midnight. If there is anyone out there who can code for us an all in one chorus/distortion/compressor/eq/flanger/compressor/reverb plugin we'd be grateful. We've got the gui covered so no worries there. We'll need it tonight.

It's already pretty loud. Have you clipped every track, made busses succumb to their master's will by clipping further and limiting, is the master buss on it's knees begging for mercy ? Since beside your voice everything is virtual you prolly could smash it even more. There isn't much dynamic integrity left so just squash it mohr, mohr and mohr still.

yea my reference track kesha - eat the acid, was a little more squashed. {and also sounds better] I miss that dynamic integrity.
It's really my first time to beyond -12.0. Sir Audio Standard clip.

 

Karzog Kklip is good and a link available from the sister site. Maybe try that out, it gets lots of praise.

@Bassifondi : nice, i can really tell you were having fun with this: this is my favorite from you in this contest so far, didnt know you had dark industrial bones. i especially like the ending bridge and outro with the noisey synth, reminds me of Sonic Youth. that thumping rhythm in the back half also really translates that obsessive feeling well imo

Before or after your final limiter, or your final export. On individual channels and buses, kclip3 is usually the better option. It is lighter, and the waveform display is very helpful if you are trying to be precise. You can see the result of increasing the Input Gain, with it linked so it will bring down the Output gain. Set the Input first. Then unlink them and move the Output gain back to 0 dB. Then go back and adjust your threshold again. Kclip3 is much nicer for this stuff.

 

So after a little encourgement from a friend, you'll see a entery from this side after all
