    Hello My Dear Friends!

    I've been trying to expand my style palette to new directions. This time, I thought I'd try a more modern mainstream pop/ chill/edm route.

    Do you think it works? I'd be much grateful for any insights from you learned people...

    Basically this works really great but I'm a bit at odds with your melody sounds (0:24 and 0:40). Maybe the first (0:24) should be more percussive (have a more pronounced attack)? :unsure:

    Yes it does,but you could also slow it down (bpm) exchange the 4 on the floor beat with downtempo elements
    & make an even nicer chill out/downtempo/ambient track ! :wink:

    I like it, Nice job.
    The only thing I do not like ( sit in the mix ) is the snare sound and the roll sounds like a kick instead of a snare.
    Now this is me and I can be wrong.

    It is certainly a nice tune! An observation though: it is somehow not aggressive enough for an edm-club-banger.. but on the other hand, too jumpy to chill..;) Personally I think, you could make a great tropical house track out of it. Especially if you make it sound more "percussive" and set a lower bpm (that is, if you mix the advice already given by @No Avenger and @Spyfxmk2, lol)

    See, everyone want something different from you. The good thing is - we all want more!

    Thanks so much for your input guys! You can't imagine how much of a difference being on AS has made to my production game over the period of 15 months or thereabouts!

    So Im gonna take onboard all your great suggestions and work towards them... The idea being to nail the authenticity of the genre... Once you nail the basics, you can start breaking the rules...

    Wherever you go, it's up to you but don't choose simplicity (just my personal opinion) because the mainstream is deeply connected to it. Notice that I said simplicity not simple. :wink::winker::bleh::bow::mates:
