I always use purge all samples at the beginning.
Even after finishing a track I use reset market, then play once through song, then use update samples.

Thanks metaller but it doesn´t really give you "less cpu usage" does it? I´ve just tested this and I´m having the same amount of cpu use with or without it. :dunno::dunno:

to reduce CPU/RAM usage I always freeze the tracks that have many plugins loaded & I'm not currently working with. then unfreeze if I want to make changes to the tracks. It's quite inconvenient, but better than having some latency issues & crackling noise.

Not much, but may help because the Kontakt needs to think about a limited number of samples.

Kontakt CPU usage depends highly on the script and effects and number of samples used at a time for each note.
So, bypass the effects you do not use from the actual nki setting button (goes into instrument itself for Kontakt full).
Also disable multi-core support of the Kontakt, if you daw support multi-core support.
In addition, increase the CPU protection from the Kontakt settings.

If you really need to make the CPU usage zero, just freeze or transform it to audio.
