https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/8001-FM8 I'm pretty sure you also qualify for the free gift from PB when you get this.
+1 for FM8, it's usable and tunable even for FM newbies, and 10 bucks is a bargain. So those looking for solid bass (!) tones and glassy pads this is a go-to synth.
Yes, it's a very good synthesiser. What's the protection scheme? Shit, you need to install Native Access to use it... That's a no go for me. Last edited: Aug 2, 2022
What's the problem with installing Native Access? I have legit an "borrowed" plugins from NI and both work with NA installed, I just don't update the borrowed ones with NA. I'm on a Mac, btw.
I can confirm this as well. Never had a problem running legit and renegade NI plugs side by side. Regardless, it's good to have Little Snitch on your Mac for the sneaky ones like Adobe.
If you know somebody in the States, you can have them buy you the hardware version for 50% off https://reverb.com/item/58230812-korg-opsix-us-only?bk= they got overstock. I'll stick with my TX81Z.
It's not about making work cracked with legit. I dont use Native Instruments product actually. I dont buy products from companies that oblige me to install third products just to make work one. It's a bad policy, and as a responsible consumer, I boycott that. I have several synthesizers, that are protected and don't user another program just to make them work. There are much better ways to do things, if you think a little bit about your clients.
It's almost abandonware, still non-resizable. I wouldn't buy it, NI clearly doesn't cares about it that much and just wants to milk people's money with a bunch of abandoned software.
I wonder if it will be an upgrade path to FM9? Could be good to resell later since there's no transfer fee.
