Didn't they say they were stopping doing Nexus expansions?
I don't hear any new sounds that can't be done with normal layering with a couple of instances of Nexus and some tweaking, though
The demos are always very cool and go straight to the point. Refx :beg:

Any source for this - as it sounds believable? So far I know, the main developer of presets is/was Manuel Schleis. From what he used to describe the "behind the scene" of Nexus (yes, Nexus is a synth, a very capable one but that interface is open only for developers. the end-user gets the browser we all know) it seems like the new Vengeance Avenger (which will retail at € 199) will take a big bite out of Nexus' market. Maybe they (Manuel & reFX) could'nt get along anymore, maybe the Nexus expansion sales dropped...

    I honestly don't remember! :(
I was pretty sure I read somewhere (maybe even here?) that they were going to stop putting out Nexus expansions pretty soon because they were focusing on something else. Maybe they meant slowing down, sorry if my memory is betraying me. EDIT: Might be it was "Vengeance Club" packs and I'm mistakening it for Nexus? If so I'm dumb
I thought Nexus had also some classic sounds sampled (mainly lots of Virus's leads). Am I wrong?

They sampled a lot, no question about it. Virus included. But it's pretty much the same core group of designers (one of them is the sound desiner behind upcoming Rapid Synth) that made them - they almost never used "dry" synth samples, they were using layers since pretty much the beginning.
