Personally I use most of my synths as preset players with minimal tweaking, don't take any pride in sound design, know some folks do and that's ok, I don't, if I convey any real emotion with electronic music, it's aliveeee.

Love Nexus, when it works, it's just the ticket.

Im gonna rock the hell out that nexus 2 mode it must have all nexus 2 skins avaliable , not gonna touch the engine mode in nexus 5 looks really complex

 

i like both skins i will be using both switching between the two and the thing is Nexus 2 skin is still looking good and holding up for it's age

 

Sure because it makes the sounds worse. Looking at an uninspiring gui also prevents you from making great music with that Intel Xeon you ordered for gaming. Perhaps it would be more intuitive if you had a nice controller like this

 

N5 offers full access to the OSC's you can now even import your own samples. It seams to be still quite buggy though

I hope Nexus 5 will be backward compatible with Nexus 4
There are many projects that were made with Nexus 4. I hope they will do backward compatibility, like Waves plugins.

 

It always was backwards compatible. I don't think they would mess this up.

 

It’s not yet official, but a user on KVR Audio shared that you can work with virtual analog synthesis, wavetables, sampler with time-stretch, retro sampler, granular, cloud, and 4-operator FM.

 

reFx and vengeance are different companies though.
However they tend to do max 50% on top off the usual sale price (which is 10EUR off) if you buy 5-6 XPs or more. At least I hope they will do it again... Max discount right now is 25%.

 

I'm curious—I've never owned Nexus, but I would like to purchase this version if it's going cheap on Black Friday. Can people with a commercial version of Nexus work with the "cracked" libraries here? or only the cracked version works with the cracked libraries?

Yes, exactly, either everything from Nexux or everything from Team R2R or V.R, both won't work, you'd better wait until it's cracked.

 

Nexus is one of the first vsts that I pirated when i started discovering music production.

 

Well, I actually don't know. I suppose you can "resave" patches and so duplicate an XP without the protection and then share it afterwards. Time will tell I guess.

Last year it was 199 on sale. I guess that will remain the same.
