Hey Guys,

I couldn't seem to find an answer to this on the main thread.
I read it is possible to have Nexus 4 installed along with Nexus 5.
But when I updated to Nexus 5 it ended up overwriting nexus 4. Guess the .vst3 is labelled just "Nexus" regardless of the version.
Is it worth having both?? or does 5 have everything 4 had plus more in terms of factory content?
My plan was to install 5 alongside 4 and install 5's factory content as well. Is anyone else doing this??
At the moment I'm back to nexus 4 and just the factor content of 4 along wit a few expansions for 4.
Any help is appreciated

 

It doesn't matter, I'm using 5 and I had 4 installed before and I think it's still installed and all the presets that I had previously loaded in old projects as Nexus 4 are now loaded with Nexus 5 as well. Only the plugin UI is messed up, which can be fixed manually.

You don't need to use 4 sometimes and 5 sometimes, use the newer version because it has all the features of the old version and newer features have been added

 

So did you delete your nexus 4 content library and just keep 5?? or do you have both? And if you do, how do you make 5 see both libraries?

 

it's a total overlap of files.

No, I only installed version 5. I didn't do anything in the Expansions and Nexus Library. I only checked the full install for the first time I installed it and installed the rest of the updates as "updates". I didn't do anything in the Expansions that I had from versions 3 and 4 and I even copied the Expansions of version 5 to the path of my Nexus Library.

After installing, you just need to paste the files that are there in the path that was mentioned.
