have this problem: in sonar platinum the Nexus 2 and Zebra 2 make me terrible distortions and clipping (both are the 32 bit plugin), they are the only ones that do this to me, I can load kontakt 5 with heavy or other vsti and no problem

i tried all sample rates and buffer size and it's the same, (I have the scarlett 2i4, 2 gen)


Now, if I open them in fl studio 12, they're going perfectly! I really do not understand what's going on, both daw projects are set to 44100, and I do not want to have to use fl studio because I do not like it

 

Had the same prob in FL 12 only with the 64 bit vers though. solution was to go into the plugin wrapper on the processing tab and check the buffer setting box, (can't remember exact name as i'm not in front of it right now) but doing this solved all the issue's i was having, I don't know if the same wrapper options are available in Sonar, if they are give it a try, if not i'm sure some one on here will know what to do.
A real wise ole bunch when it comes to this music production stuff.

 

In Fl Studio>processing>use fixed size buffers(for buggy plugins)>more>process maximun size buffers.

 

If you are running a 64 Bit DAW why not use Zebra 64 bit or J Bridge for both 32 bit versions of Zebra and Nexus. Also try this,just go to Sonar's plugin manager, highlight "Nexus" and select Plugin Properties, then change the value of Bit Bridge Server. If it is "0" to "1" and if it is "1" to "0". Repeat with Zebra.

 

Is it the legit Nexus2 v2.7.4 or is it the ancient AiR release v2.2.1 from 2009? Is Zebra2 legit as well? Or are they both from sister site? If so, that could be the issue. Could be a Zebra timebomb.
I own both of these legally and never had an issue. In fact, Nexus2 is my most used software instrument. Without Nexus2, 85% of my songs would be nearly muted besides a few basses, pads, and guitars and other tracks.
But I'm also on Mac and haven't used Sonar since 2009. Which version of Sonar Platinum are you using? It's definitely a DAW problem if you can use them fine in FL.

 

I use Sonar Platinum and have Zebra 2 64 bit, no problem.
I have Nexus 2 32 bit with JBridge, no problem.
JBridge is a much better wraper than the included wraper in Sonar and it cost very little and the developper is a great guy and offer great support.

Is your system on 32-Bit or on 64-Bit?

Are you running Focusrite ASIO? Is your Scarlett up to date? They released a new version about three weeks ago. Could be worth to do a check.

tried the value change but it does nothing jbridge demo doesn' fix it

is the ancient air release 2.2.1, both are from audioz, my sonar platinum version is SONAR.Platinum.v23.4.0.38.Incl.Keygen-R2R

i've tried jbridge demo but nothing changes the problem

i'm running asio from the focusrite, the drivers are the lastest, also the firmware is up to date, my system is 64 bit and both daws are 64 bit also

In Zebra go to Preferences>Audio>Base Latency and depending on what it shows switch it off or on.

 

As to the Nexus, do you have the 32 bit version of Sonar installed? If you do run Nexus from the 32 bit DAW and see if you continue to have the same problem. If you do, you the only thing left is to uninstall the program (not the libraries) and do a clean install. I also would uninstall the ASIO driver that you have and use the previous version. That worked for me last year with a similar issue I was having. The latest version is not always the "better" one.
