That could be taken one of two ways. The point at the end, or comments that have no point to them.

 

And I thought a point at the end of a sentence was called a period... silly me

That's how new generations write, derived from messenger apps. For them, the final dot is a passive aggressive form of expression. Can't find a proper source for this info at a quick search, but if you want to know more, just dig in this direction

 

I agree. Most of the sentences written on audiosex are pointless.

 

As are most sentences written on Social Media.

 

Now we have to investigate why this is so. I recently read that 40% of young people lose their cognitive skills through the smartphone.

Human cognitive abilities:

1. Perception of the environment: through our senses
2. Attention to special happenings: objects of interest
3. Thinking: processing information in the brain
4. Storage of information: memory storage for later recall
5. Assignment of meanings: Mostly through language

Typing without puncutation is supposed to impart familiarity.
