This is what I want to listen to when on hold with my phone provider. haha I kid, sounds cool though! Maybe a bit on the quiet side, however, but we don't all fight the loudness war, and there's nothing wrong with that. Cool, mellow track!

I find the mix "slightly" confusing in terms of pan (e.g. kick, snare, bass) and frequencies (e.g. bass, snare, bell sounds) and level (e.g. snare, kick, moving bass).

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Can you elaborate a bit more what is wrong with the pan and frequency?
I mean what should I do differently for the next time?

First bass & kick are moved to the left, snare to the right.

    .. and level:
Kick lacks low end, center bass too boomy, too dull (filter) and has level fluctuations, first bell synth on the left too sharp and too loud, (only) some resonances of the synth on the right are too piercing, claps and guitar on the left are panwise too close...
    Things like that.

    Thanks again for your response.
Not sure if I understand this:
Are there some kind of "rules" that state where an instrument should or should not be panned?
Until now, I assumed this was an arbitrary and personal decision...

Absolutely, moving bass, kick and snare out of the center is punished with two years of listening to Modern Talking - nonstop! :guru:

Seriously, it's common practice for most genres. An exception would Blues, Jazz, Big Band - apart from Classical, obviously.
So it's mostly irritating and uncommon but not wrong.

totally, being on hold would be much less painful if it sounded this good. and i saw that others commented on the bass moving around, but on headphones i actually liked it. i am not a reliable mix adviser but it seems appropriately mixed, and yeah little changes can go a long way here, and the only thing about moving the bass around is that you hope people are using speakers that don't just see it drop off several db

    Thanks for your feedback.
I never mix with some speakers, always with some headphones.
Not sure if this is the right way to mix but this is actually what work best for me.

Almost like Grand Turismo game menu music, choosing a car, doing suspension upgrades..

It sounds clean and natural, whatever you do mixing wise, i think works really well.
