New to Ableton 12 question about warping

    I'm learning Ableton and running v12.01

    I'm having an issue where long samples aren't getting warped automatically.
    I have the option "on" in my prefs. When I load a longer sample, I don't have the orange markers. I have to right mouse click the flag in the sample and select "warp from here".
    I've watched lots of tutorials and it seems like it's done automatically for them.
    I can't figure out why it's not happening for me. Any ideas?
